This was not a five star hotel but it was in a great location. The rooms were kept clean and staff were friendly. Friends who had stayed at the hotel had breakfast on the top floor without being charged. It was disappointing to find that this was not included in my fee for the room. I decided not to pay the additional 30 cuc per day. Food in lobby was decent but you did have to chase down someone for coffee

The foyer and breakfast room show what a grand lady this hotel was once. Not now.

Rooms (we were here twice) were terrible. Small rooms with antiquated decor. Curtains that didn't draw. Coffee machine, but no pods.

Bathrooms a disgrace. Musty and dank. Drains didn't seem to work meaning showers in ankle deep water.

Also service mentality of staff was at a low.

Having read many of the comments prior to booking we knew what roughly to expect and we were not disappointed. Time has stood still since the 1950/60's just like the taxi's waiting outside.
We stayed for 5 nights, breakfast was more than adequate to set us up for our days of walking, exploring and salsa dancing. We ate out each afternoon or evening, except one late evening we had a pizza snack ( very salty). On the couple of occasions i wanted to use the internet to find places etc, it was very hit and miss.
Over all a great location at a reasonable price for Havana. The pool area is very good.
Be aware you are expected to pay the toilet attendant in the communal area ( and most other establishments.

Even though we didn’t stay here, Hotel Sevilla was our go-to place on several occasions during our four night trip to Havana. It made an excellent and lasting impression as a well-situated, pleasant hotel where internet access was consistently available, the staff and concierge were helpful to all, bathrooms were clean, and the breakfast buffet (at 10 CUCs) was abundant and top-notch by Cuban standards. There was often live music in the bar and relaxing sofas in the lobby for escaping the heat and mellowing out in the afternoon.

We spent 1 night in this hotel. It was 12th. January, 2019. The hotel is everything that the reviews say she is. A faded grand old lady who has not yet lost all her charm. We would have enjoyed it if not for the behaviour of 1 of her staff. It was the staff who arranges transportation for the hotel guests. He arranged a horse carriage for us on 13th. January, 2019 and told us the rate, Just to be sure we confirmed and reconfirmed the rate with the "rider" along the way. When all was over we paid him the agreed rate with a generous tip and he started to leave. The staff suddenly appeared, stopped him, asked what he was paid and insisted that it be more. It was 6 times the agreed rate. He harangued us for about 45 minutes and repeatedly threatened to call the police if we did not pay that rate. All along this the "rider" just shrugged his shoulders and said that he was happy. The staff eventually backed down when it was apparent that we were not giving in to him. This was traumatic. The hotel should take action against him for his very obvious attempt at extortion. Future hotel guests should be aware of the existence of this staff who preys on them. For this reason we are rating this hotel the lowest possible. We are incensed.

Dear Jalaning, thank you for taking the time to come and meet our hotel. We regret very much the experience lived and told by you, about it we would like to tell you that our hotel does not provide transport service, apparently it was contacted by a free lance and obviously associated with our installation. We want to tell you that we have a customer service team and Public Relations, which is in the best position to help you next time you visit. Regards, Juan Carlos Colina Ordaz, General Director of Hotel Sevilla.
