It is situated at a central location in one of the old colonial houses, which is well cared for. A peacock and several chickens and chicklets picking food crumpets around the tables are complementing the scene. The traditional lunch menu at 14 USD including a coctail is a good value and is a way of tasting the Cuban food. As fish dishes are usually from frozen, it is better to try chicken or pork dishes. At lunch times the service can be slow. The music band in residence is also good. A visit to this place, even for a cup of coffee is a must in order to appreciate the beauty of the building where La Mina is.

Set in the Plaza Armas we sat outside people watching the evening away. Highly recommend the beef jerky, it was delicious! Good service, great mojitos, great atmosphere!

La Plaza de Armas best location with great musicians , nice service, very good café con azúcar morena and famous Guarapo - a must at least once a day during my three weeks language school nearby.

After being in Havana for four days we where so lucky to find this restaurant. It's not that special on the outside, but when you go inside you see a beautiful open garden with plants growing as a roof, small rustic furnitures, small cute chickens running around, two hens and a huge peacock sitting on the roof.

The food there was really good, buing a 3 metal dish where you Get a starter your maine cours and dessert is recomandable. The quality was the best we had, you could really taste all the new vegetables, spices and home made sause. They also had a band that played lovely music, witch is one of the reasons why we came to Havana. The service was really good, a shy smiling waiter is always a charm, and the way they took care of you made you feel like you where in a very fancy restaurant. Many of the other restaurants in Havana does not feel like restaurant, and more like
cafe's or diners so this one was more special :-)

Huge state hold restaurant, with nice patio and good service (which is quite rare).
The ropa vieja you get here is simply the best you find in Habana.
