Went to this fantastic paladar with no reservation yet the door man got us in and we were so glad he did..thank you! The tapas plate is a must as is the lobster salad. The garden feel and overall decor was beautiful. Our service was extremely professional and the obvious care put in from the chef/owner to the wait staff was well appreciated. We would return to havana just to enjoy a meal here again.

Where do I start - this is a fantastic gem of a Palador. When you enter through the front door it's like walking into an Aladins cave of eclectic collections of clocks and pictures that adorn the walls. It has a fantastically warm atmosphere supported by the most superb team of chefs and waiters for whom nothing is too much trouble. The food was excellent and extremely tastey and slightly different to a lot of Palaors with a good selection in addition to the standard area food of Lobster and Beef. I booked in advance and noted to them that it was my fiances birthday that night. They found a birthday cake for her, added sparklers, and brought it in with dimmed lights while all the staff (about 8) sang her happy birthday... perfect. The entire bill with wine came to 60 CUC (About £40) and that included the cake! I cannot recommend this highly enough but do book as it is justifiably popular. If the staff at the San Cristobel are reading this... THANK YOU FOR A GREAT NIGHT... Julie & Phil

This paladar is about a five-minute, five-CUC cab ride from Old Havana on a quiet, dark, dilapidated street. The interior has been well-restored, however, and was quite elegant and inviting. Each table has distinctive decorations on the surrounding walls, including many clocks. Ours was the “ghost” table in a smaller room toward the front of the building. I had pumpkin soup, grilled “dog fish,” and “San Cristobal” pudding with a fruit sauce; my wife had chicken noodle and vegetable soup, grilled lobster, and ice cream. We had a reasonably priced Chilean wine, but I was tempted to get the only Cuban wine I saw on any menu − and for only 12 CUC! The service was attentive and polite.

The restaurant was full of people, January is the high season for tourist, we waited a little but the smiling faces and the great service did their job.
Food is wonderful, the chef is Cuban but lived abroad many years, service is attentive and follows western standards.
Highly recomended !

We were a large group, celebrating an 85th Birthday. Very accommodating staff and wonderful food. We were served family style, so could sample a little bit of everything. Delicious eggplant, tender chicken and fish. Throughout cuba we found a tendency to overcook fish, but the lobster here was moist and flavorful
