“Prime location in Havana”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

This boutique hotel is nice and aims to please. My room was on the dark side and it was very difficult to regulate the temperature. There was a refrigerator in the room that was so noisy, I had to unplug it. I was not expecting a luxurious experience. The bed was uncomfortable and I did not love the pillows or the sheets. The bathroom had good lighting but the shower/bath combination was challenging. Breakfast was included and it was very decent. I had dinner at the hotel one night and it was also good. The service at the hotel is quite acceptable and the people that work there were extremely pleasant. I was on a cultural tour so I did not have a choice as to where I stayed. I do not have a basis of comparison. If you purchased a WIFI card, chances are it worked. I stayed in room 403. It was not great. As I stated, the location is prime.

The hotel is in the perfect location for walking and touring the entire city. Safe and well lighted area, even at night.
The included breakfast was yummy, but the servers seemed intentionally uninterested in serving us. Rude. We did not experience that level of service anywhere else on our trip.

Stayed for one night on a trip to Havana, celebrating my mum's 60th birthday. The last time I was i Havana I spotted it for it's fantastic location within Havana Vieja - and I was very pleased with what we got. The hotel has been fantastically renovated and by Cuban standards the rooms were very modern and fitted well. Like all hotels in Havana it's not cheap to stay here but for the quality it was worth it - I thought the breakfast was excellent.

This was our first visit to Cuba, having heard many stories about hotels, poor food etc but we absolutely loved it!
We stayed here for 5 nights and couldn't have been more comfortable; the staff were pleasant and courteous, nothing was too much trouble, rooms clean and modern, obviously recently renovated and very tastefully done. The food was excellent, in fact we made the mistake of not having dinner here until the end of our stay and the food was the best we had on the island!
So thank you to 'Lolo', the chef. We would definitely stay here again as it is within walking distance of all the interesting places in the old town.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back of the hotel are probably slightly noisier due to overlooking the street where...

My g/f and stayed at this hotel for 4 nights at start of our Cuba trip, but we liked it so much we returned for 2 more nights at the end. The hotel is an old historic building that has been completely renovated. It is on the smaller side (24 rooms I think) making it more quiet / quant than the larger hotel offerings in Havana. The hotel is in a great central area and within easy walking distance to all the great little restaurants and bars that dot the Old Havana district. We stayed in a deluxe room the first 4 nights. It was fairly large with nicer modern amenities (for Cuba). The last 2 nights we stayed in a large suite. Definitely higher class with a large sitting room, huge bathroom and a jacuzzi tub next to the bed. The suite bed was also much more comfortable than the deluxe room bed. We got a deal, but the usual suite price is about double of the deluxe. Worth it if you can afford it. Overall, we very much enjoyed the hotel, and the Old Havana district, and would definitely recommend this combination for sophisticated travelers.

My girlfriend an i stayed here for 3 nights at the end of june 2012.This was our first stop on a 3 week trip so wanted to start in comfort. It is by no means cheap and not exactly what you would expect by European standards, but then again its not Europe its Cuba, Our room on the second floor was clean and comfortable with aircon and a nice bathroom. There is wifi in the bar area wish is extremely rare anywhere else in Cuba.you buy an hours usage at reception in the for of a code card (cuc6 per hour) The breakfast was good and the staff were helpful, they helped us book a casa in Cienfuegos by phone. the building itself is an attraction, its beautiful inside and out, its situated on plaza de San Francisco and is with in walking distance to most major attractions. The area is beautiful and very safe.this is one of the best hotels in cuba, but for value for money, food and service id recommend staying in casa's (B&B's)

On reception we was met by a nervous person. He couldn't find our reservation in the  beginning. Finally he gave us a room for 230 $ on the third floor. It was very dark. In the bathroom the water was leaking through the glass on the floor. Terrible. In the morning it was very noisy. We were sleeping not well because we heard all the stuff was doing out the door. By the way in the hotel there is no free Internet and mini bar is not free too.
