“Not to be missed!!!”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

This is such a non publicised treasure. We passed it 4 times before realising that there was an entrance and it was a Museum. It was cram packed with information and artefacts from the reveloution. Some were very grizzly indeed especially the testicle remover! Legs crossed instantly and they were in a glass cabinet!! If you saw everything in this Museum it would take you at least 6 hours as there is so much to see. the highlight on the way out is the Boat with the gaurds on duty (almost like a shrine) 24hrs a day. It is the boat that you can see from the street, but have no idea it is part of the Museum. Also there are the disguised vehicles they used whilst the overpowering of the government was taking place. The staff thtouout the museum are very officious. You must see this place!!!

“A hidden gem”
Reviewed April 1, 2004

The Museum of the Ministry of the Interior is a true hidden gem. Situated on the main road through Miramar, the Museum highlights the history of the struggle of "the Cuban Revolution" against its real and percieved enemies. All written material is only in Spanish, but the staff are extremelt helpful and explain the exhibtions to visitors who request assistance. The Museum perfectly illustrates the many diverse and different methods used by Cuba's enemies to overthrow the Government since 1959..... including the work of the "dissidents" who work illegally within the country. The Museum is recommended so that you can make up your own mind..... but the "War on Terror" seems closer to home when you see the evidence for yourself.

“MININT Museum - Havana, CUBA”
Reviewed November 4, 2001

Wow, what a disappointment. The only bi-lingual references they have are the names of the CIA operatives that were working in the area and the anti-American propaganda they hand out when you leave. Oh, if you go, take U.S. dollars, the Cuban money is worthless. Take small change, the MININT Museum couldn't even break a $20 (gives you an idea of the amount of traffic they have going through there) for a $2 admission. It's one of those places that you just have to go and see. The Elian wall, the Bay of Pigs room, all the anti-American crap that you'd expect. If you plan on walking around town at night, a word of warning; they are missing a lot of manhole covers, watch your step.
