It doesn't take long to tour the property, but it's worth seeing if you can get there easily enough. The rooms are purported to be exactly as when he lived there. It's easy to imagine the property in it's heyday. Short walk up the tower stairs is worth the effort.

when in these places the backdrops of the cars make it seemingly easy to picture a day in the life of hemingway and cast. Many people were taken by the home. I wished the pool could only talk and what stories would come from it

This property is such a contrast to most everything else in Cuba. Given the fame of its owner, it's actually quite modest, his fishing vessel Pilar notwithstanding. You can peer into the rooms with their many books and trophies from his animal hunts. The view of Havana in the distance is excellent.

No wonder that Hemingway loved this place and leaved here with breaks 20 years. It is lovely situated on the hill in the garden with fantastic view on Havana. Looks like he just left as there was decision to leave this place unchanged after writer's death. Calm atmosphere, lots of flowers around make this place special. Must to see.

This was an interesting place, and it was no wonder Ernest Hemingway fell in love with Havana. He also loved the cocktails.
