I visited the shop and purchased some really neat and unique jewelry to keep and one necklace for a gift. The type of jewelry is called "dichroic glass." It consists of multiple layers of metal oxides that are vaporized and electro beamed onto the glass in a vacuume chamber. The glass is then fused together in a kiln.
I love this cute little shop and the owner assisted me in making my selections. She is a very professional small business retail owner on the island and has some interesting pieces of jewelry. She also has a new web-site and you can order her items on-line. I was amazed that no other travelers had written a review on this shop! I hope you take the time to visit and know it will be worth the time.
It is a hidden spot just about 50 feet in a strip of small shops just east of the main shopping area downtown Kralendiyk. I believe one of the shops on the main street called Kaya Grandi is Digicell phone center. You have to look closely to find it but its worth the search - you won't be disappointed.
I thought it was neat that the owner was interested in my ideas for an ankle bracelet and toe ring. She took my e-mail address and said that she had been asked by other visitors about these items and was going to make a point to have some made up and would contact me when they were ready for purchase.
I love the items I purchased and have many compliments every time I wear them. So glad they are affordable items too! She also had a few home decor items that were amazing.
