We have traveled to Bonaire many times, but this was our first visit to the Carribean Club Bar and Restaurant. It was a very pleasant surprise. The entry way to the restaurant appears quite modest, but that is misleading. Once you start up the pathway you pass well kept cottages and gardens before you reach the restaurant.
We stopped for a light lunch one day. The menu offers a nice selection of Carribean and continental food and we enjoyed the soup and salads. decided to return for dinner later in the week. Our server went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. When we asked for unsweetened iced tea, she made up a fresh pitcher just for us.
We returned later in the week for dinner to try the stew that our server had recommended. My wife had the chicken stew, and I had the goat. Both were excellent. The goat was surprisingly mild and tasty. A highlight of the visit came as we walked around the grounds, and one of the guests pointed out 2 baby hummingbirds in a tiny nest .
The restaurant is only 6 or 7 minutes drive past Buddy's and Don's. It is close to Oil Slick Leap. It is an excellent place to stop for lunch or dinner.
