This little gem of an island getaway is a hidden jewel cached away in an enchanted tropical garden of many, many buddhas. Lush flowering plants conceal the individual, fully appointed cottages and provide you with perfect privacy for a meal al fresco or a nap in your own hammock. The gardens attract a variety of delightful birds like troupials, finches and tiny hummingbirds which adds to the magic. The common areas provide options like a place to grill a meal and enjoy it with friends, a natural swimming pool to cool off in or a relaxing bathe in the hot tubs. The lounge area around the pool is an elegant spot to just chill out. Fresh water tanks are provided for washing and drying scuba gear, as well.

Bamboo Bali is completely secluded from the outside and very private with uniquely designed, themed cottages within. All of the lodgings provide kitchenettes and are fully equipped but vary slightly between them in specific features. Each cottage is as charming as the next and it will be very difficult for you to choose between them.

This unique concept was conceived by Anno, Vera and Sebastian and is run as a family business. They designed, built and operate this specialty lodging with a great deal of care and devotion in order to give you a special retreat away from everyday life and provide you with a unique opportunity to enjoy this very special island of Bonaire and all it has to offer. They are able to arrange rentals and island activities of your choice if needed.

If you are bored with the crowded, overrun, generic accommodation routinely offered in the Caribbean, then you should definitely book a stay here. You will be thoughtfully hosted by this talented, amiable family in a manner that is rare to find in hospitality these days. For me, it is a home away from home as I have stayed with them many times and will continue to. This cozy little spot is a perfect place for me to enjoy nature and the outdoors while exploring some the best diving available in the multitude of dive spots accessible from here.

Thanks for reading my review and if it was helpful in any way, please advise with the button below.

Best, Michelle

Room Tip: As there are a limited number of the specialty cottages available, it is best to reserve well in advance here in order to secure a place and your desired choice of lodgings.

We chose Bamboo Bali for our honeymoon based on the reviews on Tripadvisor and it was a perfect choice! The cottages are very nice and the garden looks beautiful. It looks great in the photos but even better in real life! Anno and Sebastian are very helpful and friendly - we have never felt anywhere as welcomed as at Bamboo Bali. And they clearly have a passion for what they're doing. The whole resort is really lovely, quiet and relaxed - a perfect place for a honeymoon.
We'll definitely come back to Bonaire and we won't even look at going anywhere else than Bamboo Bali.
Ania and Andrew

Room Tip: We stayed at the Tree House and it's definitely unique but all cottages look lovely.

We had the best time since a long time at bamboo Bali bonaire. The place is a peace haven. Very quiet and friendly. Anno and Sebastian were very helpful and careful hosts. Look at all the other reviews and you will see that you cannot go wrong with bamboo Bali. You won't regret it !

Room Tip: We were in the Java cottage. It is very close to a BBQ if you choose to cook. Cottage was very nice a quiet.

Anno, Vera, and Sebastian are outstanding hosts for a gem of a resort, well-located on Bonaire. My wife and I spent two wonderful weeks here Dec 2012-Jan 2013. Our late arrival was no problem as Sebastian let us in the front gate and gave us a brief intro to the site and our room. We found refreshments in the refrigerator and ground coffee for the morning. Our "Bali" unit had everything we needed and was designed with thoughtful style. We found the local fish shop and were able to grill on the shared BBQs. BBBR is an ideal spot for folks who are seeking a unique, peaceful spot away from the usual hustle and bustle some larger resorts.

Vehicle parking at the front gate provides easy access for your rental vehicle and the resort's central location means that all areas of the Island are easily accessible. Shore diving and snorkelling is excellent and a water taxi to/from Klein Bonaire Is is well worth a trip (or two) as the reef is excellent and the sand beach like powder.

Highly recommended as a great base for discovering all the Bonaire has to offer. (Sunset viewing is a short walk across the road.)

This being our first trip to Bonaire and being newly certified for scuba diving we didn't know what to do or where to go. We lucked into staying at the Bamboo Bali and now we wouldn't stay anywhere else. The rooms are great. They're quiet, but offer all of the amenities you could ask for. We made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived and enjoyed diving with other people who were staying there as well. The dive shop (Wanna Dive) that the resort associated us with was fantastic as well. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!
