Bonaire Oceanfront Apartments has a super location and view. The unit we stayed in was clean and had all the comforts of home. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked for cooking (although the location was walking distance to great restaurants as well as shopping). Our unit had an airconditioner in the living room but there was a small charge to use it, which we didn't mind paying. It was pretty warm on the island when we were there. There is a small dive shop on the property which was really convenient. All of the units had a ocean front/pool view that was really amazing. For the money, this is the best value on Bonaire. We will definately be back

We stayed at Bonaire Oceanfront Apartments in #9. We love that place! Had good service with no complaints! Lots of rehab going on at BOA, but the construction noise was minimal, and they started late, and quit early. Thank You Dennis and the crew for another great stay! That place is truly a hidden Jewel.
We have made our vacation plans for May 2011, and we are going back to Bonaire Oceanfront Apartments. The pool(freshwater) is so refreshing after a dive in the sea. There is a diveshop on site with everything you need from air to rinse tank. The diveshop staff is top notch as well. Counting the days till we return......

Beautiful apartments, clean, and they just redid the bathrooms, they look great.
its safe enviroment, and always something to do, I was never bored, and there was a great pool. The location of the apartments was perfect it was really close to everything. it was all within walking distance, but also very easy to drive to and fid shops as well.

This was our second stay at BOA. We come to Bonaire for the great scuba diving. BOA's diving package is a great deal, that includes car rental, unlimited diving, room and a huge breakfast at "It Rains Fishes". We stayed on a second floor, one bedroom apartment with kitchen. The ocean is right at your doorstep and there is a nice pool to cool off after a hard day's diving. This isn't the place to stay if you're looking to party but we enjoy our peace and quiet. We wouldn't hesitate to use BOA again, if we ever come back to Bonaire.

pros: huge rooms, central location to town, 5 min walk to supermarket, wifi, on site dive shop with an amazing staff.
cons: bed mattresses are awful, showers only, no air con in living room.

On our 6th trip to Bonaire we, for a change, booked an apartment with Sun Rentals. While at home they seemed very co-operative and helpful. Our flight arrived at 5am, so we booked the night before so we could arrive, go to bed for a nap, then rise later in the day for Marine Park orientation and grocery shopping. We were booked into unit 11, a second story walk up, advertised as a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit for us and our friends. After hauling our gear up the stairs, we discovered 1) the 2nd bedroom was upstairs under an eave with low beams, 2) a sink and shower were tucked into corners of this room but no toilet, 3) the air conditioner in the 2nd bedroom didn't work, 4) the 2nd bedroom had no window to open, 5) the 1st bedroom's bed was askew and not made, 6) the microwave didn't work. Sun Rentals ended up moving our friends to a one bedroom apartment so that could have a bathroom, with a toilet at an additional cost, of course.

Friday, 5am, we discovered the reason our bed was askew and not made upon our arrival--the roof leaks! Yep, we had a gully washer right there in the bedroom. Water poured in where the ceiling and wall met. We jumped up, grabbed all the towels, moved the bed as far way as we could, which wasn't far enough. Housekeeping's solution was to put towels on the wet mattress and make up the bed! The broken microwave? Just remove it, no problem. We did get a replacement can opener and new batteries for the 2nd bedroom air conditioner, the day before we left.

Other oddities are 1) No mattress pad on the beds, we had 2 flat sheets; after 3 days a light blanket appeared; the day before departure the light blanket disappeared and a comforter that matched the window coverings appeared. 2) We were given 1 very small bar of soap for the week, so had to buy more. 3) For 13 units there are 6 parking places, the dive shop using 1 of these. 4) Living room fan so close to the ceiling it is ineffective, yet loud. 5) We found 2 rolls of toilet paper upstairs where there was no toilet. (A moment good for a belly laugh.)

The apartment is just north of downtown, so it's an easy stroll into town and restaurants. Unit 11 has screen doors so we could get some air circulation without inviting in the bugs. Not all units have screens.

We won't book here, or with Sun Rentals again.
