Selected Divi for its location, which is great. Snorkeling right outside your door (we're not divers) and that was very enjoyable. However, if you're expecting a 5-Star, this isn't it. Kind of tired furnishings. We had asked for a King Oceanfront and told they don't have any---surprise!--they have three. On the plus side, 2 pools which were very clean, enjoyed lovely massage on a deck overlooking the water, front desk help excelled at finding our missing luggage, booking tours, etc.
Felt a bit captive from a food standpoint, but gazpacho was really nice.

Room Tip: oceanfront always the way to go

The Divi is the only resort we stay at when we travel to Bonaire. We have been diving for 25 years and traveled extensively to many dive destinations and can honestly say the dive operation at the Divi is the best experience we have had which is why we keep going back. They make it so easy and enjoyable. Serge and Alvin are there to help with any issues you may have and the dive masters are the best. Most recently I had an issue with my new air gauge on our first day of diving. Serge unearthed an older gauge he had on hand that fit my console and had me back in the water for my next dive and did not charge me any additional fees. I was so impressed and this is not the first time he has come to the rescue. They truly go the extra mile to make sure you have an enjoyable dive vacation. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and the resort employees are so friendly and helpful. We love the Divi...

Very knowledgable dive masters and office staff. Boat diving was great. Saw lots of creatures.
Stayed in a timeshare and it was great for us to be able to walk out our door and get on the dive boats. Plus it was a short walk into town.

Just returned from our 6th visit to Divi, and already thinking ahead to the next. Location right on the ocean and walking distance to town is perfect, the facilities and service are lovely, and the resort feels genuine and individual, not "packaged". Both hotel and dive staff are great, and even the resident kitties do their bit to make the stay a joy!

This was our second trip to the Divi Flamingo in Bonaire. This time we brought our two teenagers with us and they were as happy there as we had been two years ago. Of course we come for the diving and the dive shop is unsurpassed. Serge treats everyone like a VIP and runs an amazing operation along with the rest of the staff. They were very busy when we were there and most mornings ran 4 boats out but there was room for us to sign up for trips. The house reef (Calabas) is great diving day and night. It's also really enjoyable to sit in the lounge chairs on the dock and just jump in for a swim.

The dive masters on the boat dives go out of their way to find you the sea creatures of your choosing on dives! Obviously this isn't always possible but Enrique was my man for frog fish and seahorses at 18 Palm and Corporal Meiss (North Belnam). Laurel was patient with the kids during their Nitrox cert and Max showed us a special time on a night dive. Alvine is simply a pleasure to talk to and his orientation talk was superb! The dive staff are the same people there 2 years ago which speaks volumes about their satisfaction with the operation. This clearly translates to you as a visitor having a great experience with them.

We ate more meals at the resort restaurants than last time and enjoyed all of them. They always have something open either at the restaurant or the dock bar and you sit right on the water which makes any meal enjoyable! The daily breakfast is always good and the Saturday night buffet was great at a good price.

A note to those mentioning having to ask for a check: apparently at Bonaire restaurants (and we found this to be true) the wait staff wants you to ask versus them offering the check since it suggests they are trying to move you along and it is not the spirit of the island. We did have to ask for our check each time but it's not any reflection on the staff but just the way it's done in Bonaire. (Correct me anyone if I'm wrong!). The service did seem to be a little slow at the resort restaurants but you should be relaxing anyway, right?

The room was fine with an updated bathroom. The resort is older but we love the island charm and every last employee was friendly and helpful. We also really like how close it is to walk into town for shopping or a meal.

We haven't been home for 24 hours but I am already missing those beautiful blue waters! We will definitely return as many people do.

Room Tip: The water view rooms are really special but we went with a studio for the 4 of us. Not sure if they...

A group of us had decided to relax and do some diving yet again in Bonaire. There is no other place that we would stay but the Divi Flamingo. Out of the 8 in our group, 4 of us are instructors. As always, Serge De Groote runs a top dive operation with professional and courteous staff. He is always there to help your trip be as enjoyable as possible. Our crew this trip was Orlando and Laurel. We could not ask for any better. There were always there to lend a helping hand and let you know what to expect during their dive briefings. Not only are they pointing out so many beautiful fish, but they are always accounting for the divers. They are both very pleasant and kind people who I consider friends. Although we have dove with the Divi Flamingo before, each time we always appreciate the safety protocols that are followed by the crew. It is always a great trip filled with laughter and great diving.

On land: food is always great at the Chibi Chibi as well as the staff. Breakfast is always my favorite meal. There are so many choices of delicious foods to eat. The restaurants in town are only a short walk away.

GREAT SAIL: One night, we all went out on the Woodwind for a sunset snorkel sail. The catamaran leaves right from the Divi. It was great. Dee and her crew are wonderful. All equipment is provided along with some delicious snacks and drinks. They are all such patient and kind people. I look forward to sailing again on the Woodwind.

We will continue to visit and dive in Beautiful Bonaire and we will always stay at the Divi Flamingo with our friends.

Room Tip: I like the Studios. They are closest to the dive shop and have a full kitchen along with a screened...

Just returned from my second stay at the Divi Flamingo. Had a great time snorkeling off their beach, swimming in pool, eating in restaurants and taking the short walk to the local grocery store or center of town. Staff was friendly and efficient - in dive shop, restaurant, reception and hotel. Had a room with ocean view and balcony, that also had fridge - wonderful! Clean and bright, and serviced daily. Rate included breakfast, which was a full buffet open until 11 am. Can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Rooms on the water side with ocean view/balcony are terrific and close to pool!
