Stayed 8 days at resort. Restaurant staff were unfriendly, inattentive and couldn't seem to get my order right. Waited over 90 minutes for food. Discovered restaurant next door at Buddy Dive was so much better. Less expensive, friendly staff and great food. Go there instead.

Rum Runners is a part of the Cap'n Don's Dive Habitat and is located adjacent to the dive shop. There is plenty of parking, a bar, restaurant and the Pizza Temple. Since it is located right on the water and faces wests, the sunsets are spectacular.

We dined here a couple of evenings during our stay at Bonaire. We opted for pizza one night, which was a pretty good thin-crust pizza. A 12" pie, enough for two, will run you about $12-$15, depending on toppings. The pizza was freshly baked, the beer was cold and the service was prompt.

Thanksgiving was a special occasion at Rum Runners. They served a traditional Thanksgiving buffet: soup, salad, mashed potatoes & gravy, yams, stuffing, veggies, turkey and ham, and a dessert table with pumpkin pie, pecan pie and chocolate cake. The spread was very good and plentiful and as usual, service was friendly. The cost was $27.50 per person. A little pricy, but worth it to celebrate Turkey Day, American style.

The bar is convenient for an after-dive beer and the crowd consists of happy divers and some of the dive crew. Videos of some of the daily dives are shown on the TV. Monday, in particular, is a fun night as Cap'n Don makes an appearance. Yes, the one and only Cap'n Don.

Since we ate breakfast and lunch in our room, we didn't have the opportunity to visit Rum Runners for these meals.

Went here for breakfast and will not be rushing back. Buffet style with poor selection of Luke-warm food. Service poor although the staff were friendly. Not worth $13.50 per person.

We happened to eat here on one of the nights they had a singer with drums and synthesized music - was very pleasing dinner music. The food was amazing - the seafood lasagna was the best according to my husband and the fajitas are just as good. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

Four of us went here and loved the friendly service, the view, the menu selection and the prices. However, only one of three different entrees was fantastic.

I wish I could remember the exact meal that was considered fantastic by all four of us - it is a yummy local dish, like a casserole with olives, raisins and melted cheese. It was divine. Two of us ordered the curried chicken sandwich. We both enjoyed the mild but well-flavored curry sauce, but both felt the chicken was dry and a bit stringy. My husband had the chicken fajitas. He asked for spicy and got mild, light seasoning with tough and stringy chicken. It was getting late at night, the staff was so nice, and we were so hungry, we sent nothing back.

We still may be back so we can all try that local dish and experience a friendly staff and great view. We may just not order chicken again.
