We had a wonderful time kayaking and snorkeling with Tina. Felt very privileged to be so close to nature, learned a lot about the mangrove system and were very surprised of all the beautiful life under water. A great experience, a super lunch and a very good hostess!

I never knew that the delicate protected mangroves had such a beautiful under water life. Bonaire's crystal clear water allows a panoramic view of life in the roots. It was an educational fun experience for our entire family ranging ages from 6 to 76. Our owner operated guide was completely safety conscious and full of information regarding the mangrove eco system.

This is a rare experience done in a safe manner both for the customer and the mangroves. One of a kind experience. Don't miss it if ever in Bonaire.

My mom and I took a kayak & snorkel trip through the mangroves at Lac Bay. Neither of us had ever kayaked before but it was surprisingly easy and Tina was great to give us a bit of a tow when we went across a particularly windy area just to make sure we wouldn't have any issues. While kayaking we spotted many kinds of birds in the trees as well as some fish and jellyfish in the water. We kayaked through "tunnels" of mangroves where the tops of the trees had grown together and it made for a very mystical experience winding around within the branches. When we were ready to snorkel they helped us out of the kayaks and we snorkeled along through one of the mangrove tunnels out to the bay. There were so many kinds of fish swimming around in the roots and most of the roots were covered in brightly colored orange, purple and yellow sponges. We saw parrot fish, needle fish, huge schools of large and small silver fish, four-eyed butterfly fish, trunk fish and even a barracuda that swam by as we eyed each other warily. Once in the water you could see the jellyfish a lot better and it was so interesting to see how they swam upside down floating their tentacles up top. The entire trip Tina and Eveline were so nice, very enthusiastic and extremely helpful to make sure that everything went very smoothly. When we got back to the van (they picked us up at our hotel which was a very nice convenience) they had snacks, drinks and fresh fruit kabobs to munch on before heading back to the hotel. I would highly recommend taking this trip even if you have no experience kayaking. It was a very fun trip and a different experience to snorkel through the mangroves than any other snorkel trips we took on the island.

We are long time visitors to Bonaire and usually spend all our time diving but on this trip decided to see a part of Bonaire we have never experienced and are so happy did. Our group of six consisted of my husband and myself, our daughter and son in law and two of our good friends. Tina met us as planned and after a short briefing and lesson we were on our way into the mangroves. Tina stopped to point things out or to teach us a bit about the mangroves. We paddled through some channels that were magical tunnels of roots which opened to glorious vistas of the sea and sky.

The clear bottom kayaks offer a fun perspective on the sea floor, are easy to paddle and very stable. Each person is given a bottle of water and a light cotton batik to cover up from the sun if needed. Snorkels and masks are provided if you do not have your own.

The highlight was when we stopped for a snorkel. We got out on a sandy bottom and snorkeled through a mangrove channel where we saw many fish, beautiful sponges, the amazing root system and upside down jellyfish.

On our return to shore Tina set up a table and chairs on beautiful lac channel for us to enjoy fruit kabobs, cold beverages and other assorted snacks. She offered us fresh water to rinse our faces and even had hair conditioner for us! She has thought of everything to make your day a special one. I highly recommend spending time in the peaceful, magical mangroves with Windows to the Sea.

We did the Lac Cai Mangrove tour in April while we were on a Cruise. We had signed up a month before and Tina and Tara were there as soon as we stepped off the boat and we were quickly on our way. We were undecided to do the Mangrove tour or the Ocean, but was so pleased we chose the Mangrove. You can go snorkeling in the ocean anytime, but the Mangroves were unique. It was like being in a aquarium. They were knowledgeable and friendly. Even stopped at the super market for us on the way back to the Cruise ship.(We wanted to buy her special punch they served) to take back on board the ship. The fruit Kabobs were awesome. The best excursion of our cruise. Thanks.
