Review of Globe Drive-in

Globe Drive-in
Reviewed August 5, 2014

From early childhood I always enjoyed the Globe Drive-in Cinema and that pleasure has never diminished. What I relish is taking friends, family and visitors to the Island who have never before watched a movie in the open air on a big screen and sharing in their excitement.

This is a locals favorite spot! They normally show two recently released movies a day. Great for an old fashion movie date night. The only one on the island and it's reasonably priced. Call or check online for show times. Go ahead and enjoy this place before it disappears like all the rest of the drive in theaters have in the USA!

This is our favourite place to take the family.
Absolutely no better cinema in the caribbean for us. Get there early, pitch your chairs at the front & kick back under the moon.
Great Fries & a Massive Mauby & your set.
Perfect.

Coming from the UK we do not have drive in cinema`s.I have been to the Globe Drive In many many times whilst on vacation over the 34 years.many tourists don't know about it.There`s always a little advert in the Nation Newspaper giving times and the films showing. Its upgraded over the years and is a great night out. They have a snack bar which sells good food and drinks. The grounds are running alive with stray cats, most are friendly and just want tit bits of food.A word of advice:Do not go in a mini moke! it sometimes rains and you will most definitely
get wet and laugh yourself silly!

We loved this - went to see Need for Speed whilst sitting in the car which was a little different! Sound comes over the car radio - wind the seats back - by a few beers at the bar - put the aircon on and you have your own private cinema!

Never been to an open air cinema before but we will go again when we return to Barbados.

Food is pretty good too - hot dogs, burgers and rotis - not fine dining but excellent none the less.

BD$15 each for entrance but this covers you for 2 movies - they start at 6.30 and the second at 8pm then show the first movie again at 9.30pm.
