“A TRUE FIND”

this hotel is truly a find. our room was large, and beautiful. tHE HOTEL STAFF IS EXCELLENT. We LOVED Rose, our housekeeper. The restaurant is VERY, VERY GOOD. THE LITTLE EXTAS such as turn down service and cool scenteed washcloths presented to subathers at the pool add to the abience. The beach which is a few steps away is one of the island's best. We had a delightful vacation, and at times felt we were in our own villa. We enjoyed the quiet elegance of Little Arches.

This is primarily a restaurant with 12? rooms. The location is superb with one of the best beaches on the island just in front of the hotel. You feel that you are private guests in someone's exclusive home ( except for having to pay), and the food is one of the highlights as is the atmosphere.
It's not cheap and arguably overpriced, but having stayed in other hotels in Barbados, it is way ahead of the competition in the same price band. It's a boutique hotel so don't expect great recreational facilities for the kids etc, just a personal, unpretentious and memorable place to stay and relax.

My husband and I stayed here for the first part of our stay, and another pricey resort for the last 3 days of our stay. We wished we could have spent the whole time at Litte Arches. It is far from the other bars and restaurants, but you don't miss it and can take a taxi if you want to visit a particular restaurant. The restaurant there was absolutely wonderful, and our favorite of the 10 resturants we visited over the course of the 2 weeks. The staff were wonderful - it was more like staying with generous, kind friends who treat you with the utmost hospitality. Food, drinks, room, beach - all just perfect. You are not missing anything from the big resorts.

Let me just say that our vacation last week was amazing! Little Arches was all that I hoped it would be and more. Everything that others have said about the quality of the staff could not be more true. I mainly dealt with Petra and Cherrise and they were so helpful and hospitable. I feel I have left friends-thanks for everything! We stayed in room #5, Petit Martinique and the view out our balcony was breathtaking. The ocean was such a crystal clear turqoise-blue. This room is under Cafe Luna, but the only time we heard any kind of noise was in the morning while they were setting up for breakfast. Instead of being a bother, it reminded me of staying as a guest at someones house and they were up early getting breakfast ready for us. Cafe Luna had some great breakfast, by the way, and what a great way to start the morning. The views from up there were beautiful. Miami beach was also very nice. The white sand felt like sugar and the water was quite refreshing. All in all, Little Arches really helped make our vacation one we will never forget and I recommend it to anyone seeking a quiet and relaxing vacation in paradise.

We went from January 13-20.
We go to the Caribbean frequently and have stayed in all kinds of resorts, from all-inclusives, large, small and boutique, high-end and low-end over many years. Having weeded out the rest, we now prefer small intimate places off the beaten track. And, a great beach is important.

Little Arches was adorable and the staff could not have been more helpful with everything from reservations at restaurants, local haunts, island excursions, you name it. Miami Beach, adjacent to the hotel was pristine and rarely crowded. I checked out the beaches on the Platinum Coast, not for me. Resort on top of resort with beach chairs on top of one another and jet skiers everywhere (including Sandy Lane Hotel), many rocky.. Little Arches is directly in front of cliffs which are constantly being carved out by the crashing waves. A spectacular view. As for the rooms, we stayed in room 6, Petit Nevis. It was lovely, but, a bit small and the bathroom door was improperly hung pushing inward causing scraping on the floor and little room to navigate once inside. But, it wasn't not enough to annoy us. It also opened out to the pool area, which with it's couches, hammocks and shaded area were very relaxing with a fantastic view. We upgraded for the last 3 nights to room 1, one of the two honeymoon suites. Spacious with a private deck and hot tub, it was worth it!

Food at Cafe Luna was excellent. We arrived on a Thursday which featured Moo's (the chef) Sushi Night. Collosal sized rolls and melt in your mouth tuna sashimi. Unfortunately, Christian, the waiter/bartender, was so busy, doing everything himself, that it took 45 minutes to get our order. However, it was worth the wait. And, that was the only time service was lacking. Saturdays feature Lobster, another winner. Cafe Luna is having some liquor licensing issues with the local government so it is closed to the public and as a result only guests are allowed to dine there. I won't go into the whole thing, but, suffice it to say, having a drink was not a problem. With a 7 night stay a full breakfast is included, which we chose to have in our room. A complimentary one time bottle of wine and cheese platter was also included.

With 10 nights you get can get a free sailing trip. We went onboard the Silver Moon and didn't mind paying extra for it with 7 night stay. It was great! I was told that the Soul Venture is not in service.

If there is one down side and it's very minor one that other reviewers failed to mention, it's that the hotel is directly in the path of inbound flights landing at the airport (about 10 minute cab ride away). I am a flight attendant and tend to tune that sound out. But, there were a few times a day, mainly at the beach that it got a bit loud during the approach of several aircraft at one time. But, again, it wasn't enough to deter us from staying there or enjoying the beach.

The hotel does not have a gym or spa, but, they do provide bicycles free of charge. If you need a resort with every amenity than this will not be the place for you. But, if you want personalized service from a wonderful staff who would drop everything to answer any questions or procure whatever you wanted, go there.

We just returned from the perfect vacation in Barbados, and it was due entirely to Little Arches. We got married there, and it was the most perfect and amazing experience we could have asked for. Sarah was absolutely perfect in her choices of everything. All we had to do was show up. We couldn't have asked for anything more perfect.

The hotel's motto seems to be "whatever makes you happy". Whatever we wanted, it was taken care of. The staff is absolutely brilliant, and makes you feel as though you're the most important guest they have (and they make everybody feel that way). With only ten rooms it is the ultimate in boutique hotels.

Cafe Luna is a slice of heaven!

We absolutely loved it, and can't wait to go back again next year.

Both my wife and I spent 2 glorious weeks at Little Arches in August where we had the most unforgettable holiday. Over the years we have travelled the world and stayed in some beautiful hotels and I can safely say that Little Arches is the one with the best location and the friendliest and most helpful staff. As there are only 10 rooms you are guaranteed a quiet relaxing holiday with a view from the pool and cafe luna that is simply breathtaking. The quality of the food and service at Cafe Luna is unbeatable and is exceptional value for money,if you go try their cocktails its well worth it Moo the chef in Cafe Luna is a larger than life character who's sushi night is a must.
Take note Moo we will be back and keep that fridge well stocked with those very cold beers.
