“Quaint Spot With A Big Taste!”
Reviewed January 28, 2014

This quaint restaurant is located in St.Michael on the main coast road. It is an understated restaurant that delivers good local fair.
We had our 'Old Year's Night feast there and it was scrumptious!! Bistro Monet offered a special menu for the celebration of the last night of 2013 and my choices were spot on. I had the leek and sweet potato soup, the snapper and an apple puff pastry for dessert. Since we were a large party, everything that Bistro Monet offered on their menu was ordered by someone in the group and no one complained. We all were more than pleased with our selections.
It's been a long time since I've visited this restaurant and I'm glad that we chose this 'old familiar' to end the new year. One thing I'll say, if you have a big party, be mindful about the amount of time it will take to accommodate everyone.....it's a small restaurant. We called our dining selections in ahead of time which I'm sure made a difference.
Dining at Bistro Monet was a great choice. Give it a try when on the island.

“Birthday Dinner”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

#1 fact: the food is delicious, great value for money.

we went to celebrate my husband's birthday as he loves their pasta. unfortunately there was no one to greet us on arrival and although i booked stating it was a birthday dinner, there was no happy birthday greeting which you at least get at other restaurants. that was the only disadvantage.

“ok, but there are better”
Reviewed December 7, 2013

convenient location just off main road and looks like/is a nice welcoming place. Food was ok - son had pasta, husband fish, me shrimp and it was all ok, just nothing particularly special. Better food places around. Prices were on the expensive side for the food quality and quantity too. Most people eating there were tourists and it felt like the name was chosen to get that trade. Wouldn't particularly recommend it but ok if want "western" rather than Bajan experience.

“Very good waitress, nice food, shame about the main road”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Some of the reviews of this Bistro criticised the service, our experience was quite the opposite, our waitress was pleasant, knowledgable and efficient.

Bistro Monet has an awful location with the outside tables overlooking a very busy road but the food was interesting and well cooked. Compared with many of the places we visited in Barbados the food was more enjoyable and the price, at £60 for two including a bottle of wine was one of the cheapest places we found. I don't know what their sweets are like, Chilly Moos Ice cream parlour is just down the road so we had ice cream on the way home.
