“Outstanding in every way - just what you would expect of a 'high end' restaurant.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2013 via mobile

We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary here on 24th April. I can't praise this restaurant enough for their attention to detail to make it a truly memorable evening for just the two of us. Where do I start?! The booking process was seamless with a phone call on the day to let us know they were looking forward to our visit. On arrival we were shown to a lovely table over looking the ocean which had been decorated with an anniversary theme and personalised menus for us to take home as momentos. Our waiter was courteous and attentive throughout but not invasive and gave us the space we needed between courses. The food was well presented and full of flavour - absolutely delicious. The ambience was just right and all the staff made us feel very special. We will be coming back!

“Excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2013

This was our second time at Champers. Last night we had reservations and we were celebrating my birthday. Our table was ocean front and had been decorated with confetti, sparkles, little cuttings that said Happy Birthday! They had special menus printed with my name wishing me a Happy Birthday! The service was excellent. Attentive but not over powering. We each had a different meal and not one complaint! I had the special grilled mahi mahi with red curry! My husband had the lamb and Caesar salad. Our son and daughter in law had appetizers of coconut shrimp and cinnamon apple Camembert which they declared the best ever! Our son had the Parmesan crusted barracuda and is still raving. Our guest had the beef tenderloin and raved at how it would melt in your mouth! Everything was perfect!

“Superb Dinner at Champers”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2013

Our family of four enjoyed a spectacular evening at Champers. The views from the waterside deck were breathtaking at sunset. The food, from appetizers to main course to dessert, was perfectly executed, well plated, and delicious, and the service was flawless. By far our best dining experience in Barbados (and we had many very good one), and among the most memorable meals we have enjoyed anywhere. It was quite expensive ($425 US for a family of four with children 8 and 11), but well worth it.

“Pleasant but pricey.....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

We have frequented Champers on a previous vacation and enjoyed it so go back. Arrived a little early and were shown to the bar area with a cocktail menu. Before we had chance to order we were whisked to our table and handed menus plus specials. My husband had calves liver which he enjoyed although grapes in a sauce seemed a strange combination. I ordered spinach ravioli with ricotta. The pasta was not rolled thin enough and it was a little curled as if it had been under the lamps too long. It was however tasty sauce and filling. For mains I had MahiMahi Cajun style with sweet potato mash that was lovely. My husband had surf and turf which he enjoyed but he did ask for his steak medium rare and it came medium well. We did not have dessert or coffee and just 2 glasses of wine not a bottle. The total bill was just shy of 400 Bajan, hence the title of my review!

“First class!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013 via mobile

So far my favourite dining experience in the area. Waterside dining, great food, excellent service. We walked in for Sunday lunch with no reservation and were made to feel most welcome. A chance to dress a little smarter. Well worth a visit.
