Champers had fantastic food and the chef should be commended. And it has a great ocean view and location. But can good food outweigh intentionally awful service? How about mixed drinks that ostensibly have a cheaper substitute than was asked for?
Service starts with the reception, goes throughout dinner, and ends when you one finally leaves. The prices at this restaurant are very high and therefore service should be commensurate with the high price. At the end of the day, great food and views do not make up for awful service.
Note that the restaurant also pre-charges for service, but don't tell you on the actual final bill, leaving those who are not careful to overpay.
If you still decide to frequent the restaurant, note that it is on an alley way which can be easy to miss. The alley way starts off the main road at the "Tiki Bar" which is easy to find. Beware broken sidewalks, etc.
