“St James Parish Church is the oldest church on the island”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

If you love history as much as we do, you must stop and see this church and walk around the ground. Even President Ronald Reagan visited this parish church.

“BEAUTIFUL, HISTORIC CHURCH!”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

We stopped here briefly on our all day tour of Barbados. Although we didn't get to see the inside of church, it is a beautiful, old building steeped with history. Mr. & Mrs. Ronald Reagan visited this church.

“good to see”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

This is a very beautiful church and a nice short stop to make on the way to other sites. Our taxi driver recommended this to us. Got some very nice photos of the stained glass & arched doorways.

“Learn more about the island's history here!”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

A very open, peaceful and informative church. You can park right outside and walk in. Take time to read what is on the walls.

“Best kept church in Barbados”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

I was told by an old family friend that this is the best kept church on the island and I have to agree. It has been lovingly cared for. See the old church bell in the porch dated 1696 and the lovely mahogany pulpit.
