Relaxing, good food, plenty too drink, great accommodation. Very nice local area... Sandy Lane next door. Very friendly people. Staff ready too help.
Down side breakfast and lunch birds come to dine. Evening meal they have gone to roost.
3 nice pools. Hotel on the coast.

I have been going to Barbados for 30 years and have never enjoyed a holiday this much.
The hotel may not be the highest standard but the staff and general atmosphere makes up for this. I have stayed in the best hotels on the Island and have not had as much fun as this trip.

All the staff are fantastic and from initially meeting the friendly Richard our days started with the beautiful Patricia and ended with our lovely friend Mary-Ann. Each day was made special by the people working at The Club - Victor, Deon, Sophia and Tracy-Ann to name just a few.
I suspect a lot of the negatives mentioned in other reviews are from people that will always find something to complain about.

Following a storm surge 12 years ago the Resort lost most of its beach but as long as you can walk 300 yards you have a choice of the beach at Sandy Lane or go the other way to a quiet sandy beach.
Food very good and all tastes for booze are catered for. Room was what I expected - simple but clean with a large comfortable bed.
Pool clean, inviting and very peaceful and so is perfect for a good read and a cocktail.

We will be back soon....very soon I hope.

Have just returned having spent a very enjoyable week celebrating a special birthday at The Club. The staff were very helpful & couldn't have been nicer, nothing was a problem for them. Show them respect & treat them the way you wish to be treated, having travelled elsewhere in the Caribbean the Bajans are amongst the friendliest locals we have met. Sure there were downsides, the lack of a decent beach being one of them but the pools & grounds made up for that & for the sake of a five minute walk you had a decent beach if required. Choice of food was good & always plenty to choose from sometimes the service in the dining room was slow but so what, your on holiday & we were always looked after by everybody. We had an Ocean view upper room which lacked a balcony but the doors open wide so we could sit & watch the sea or whatever was going on at any time, but you don't sit in your room all day, well we don't anyway.

Room Tip: Choose an upper floor room whatever you do.

Just back from 7 days at The Club, Barbados and overall I'd say we had good value for money. The hotel appears to have had a little make over since last year but is still in need of a bit more attention. Agree with other reviewer saying staff are great on the whole and rooms clean but beds and linen a bit shabby, check in and check out chaotic and slow, and the food very average. The breakfasts are normal hotel breakfasts and are OK, the lunches are really quite good but for some reason they just don't seem to be able to offer good evening meals - the buffet is bearable but the a la carte is just shocking - tired menus, slow service (especially drinks) and over cooked plate meals not seen since the 60's!

The pool area is nice but as usual too few sun beds, people were even putting their towels on the beds before they went to sleep - ridiculous really. We were generally up early - 6.30am ish - and even then, most beds taken. They really need more and a less congested area for them. Also building work of some sort going on outside our door and the grass strimmer on the last morning was very noisy!!

Very quiet and down beat in the evening which as a shame - maybe everyone went to bed early to get up early to get the sunbeds!!

No beach to speak of but plenty around.

Having said all that, for what we paid and what we got, I thought it value for money - probably helped by the fact the weather was great!

Room Tip: I think the garden rooms are the cheaper rooms and absolutely fine but some like ours were a bit tuc...

The staff at this hotel was wonderful. The hotel itself needs a lot of work. The bed in our room was terrible to say the least. I live in the states and the lowest hotels have better beds. and linens they are the thin and cheap and We had a suite. This was not worth the amount we paid. hope we did enjoy the staff and the views. I would not stay here again.

Hotel was very nice. Room was great, cleaned every day. Reception was very slow checking in and out. The food was very good but the restaurant was very slow. There other restaurant was a bit disappointing as same menu each night. Though better service. All the staff was very friendly. We can recommend the spa. Holetown was a short walk away, lots of buses to Bridgetown. Overall a good holiday.

Room Tip: Ask for a garden view

We arrived at the hotel after a long flight from Manchester and were greeted warmly by the lovely and welcoming reception staff. The hotel room was the old colonial style with an enormous bed with ample storage and lovely balcony overlooking the pools and well maintained tropical gardens. We could not fault the excellent food with always a good selection of fish. Sofia the restaurant manageress was beautiful and always very welcoming as were all the staff in this very well managed hotel. We loved it so much that we will definitely be going again. For us it was in an ideal location for walking into Holetown or taking the reggae buses to other points of interest.
Thanks everyone at this hotel for giving us such an exceptional memory.

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor room if stairs are a problem as there are no lifts and the stairs are quite s...
