We stayed in Westerings in December - 8 adults and a 6mth old baby. On the whole we had fantastic stay and would definitely love to return. The staff - Junior, Tony & Margaret, truly made the holiday so enjoyable and memorable. Junior (Butler) - couldn't do enough for the entire family, has fantastic connections throughout the island so reservations were always taken care of, there was nothing Junior couldn't helped you with. Tony (chef) - his culinary creations were spectacular, even with a rather demanding father in law, Tony managed to impress! Margaret (house keeper) - kept the house looking great at all times and even babysat for our son on a couple of occasions. The villa is very well looked after, nicely decorated, stunning outdoor dining area, great pool, lovely views and on a safe resort. Having lived in Barbados for 3 years in various locations, Royal Westmoreland is a great location for a holiday.
A few areas for improvement....
Collection from the airport was very late which was a shame considering we had requested a premium fast track service at the airport which became unnecessary. We had a 6 month old who had traveled for 12 hrs by then so it was not a great start. The mini bus provided didn't have large enough seats to securely fix the car seat, again this was requested when making the booking so was disappointing.
Considering the villa has 5 rooms in the main house and the cottage has a further 1-2 bedrooms, the kitchen is completely inadequate for the capacity of guests. Tony was a super star so no complaints there but having to cook for a family of 8 on only 2 hobs is very challenging and took the entire day to prepare for dinner. Likewise our omelette took over an hour every morning.
Whilst not a major concern for some, the wifi/tv system was faulty for our whole stay. It was attended to on a number of occasions but wasn't completely rectified. As a house full of working professionals, this was pretty inconvenient and meant very high phone bills from data usage as we were unable to connect to the wifi. Additionally this also affected the TV system which whilst not a priority it would have been nice when required.
Lastly, we really would have benefited from occupying the whole house including the owners suite which came at an additional cost. The cost included the cottage but not the owners suite, which meant our baby had to be in our room to allow all guests to be in the main house. Any one with children will understand this doesn't facilitate a good nights sleep. Whilst an owners suite sounds prestigious, I'm unsure whether it's necessary to include the cottage in the price but request more money for another room in the same house. The cottage was lovely and the games room downstairs was great but naturally all guests wanted to be in the main house.
This certainly is a luxury villa with a homely feel and we would certainly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday.

What an amazing 2 week holiday, staying in pure luxury overlooking the championship golf course and with panoramic sea view. We travelled in a large group,14 of us but the house is so spacious it certainly didn't feel like it. We stayed in the beautifully appointed 2 bedroom cottage which had its own kitchenette to make our own drinks and downstairs had a fabulous games room with table tennis, air hockey, pool table, table football, darts and an Xbox. There was something to occupy everyone and we had fun with a few tournaments. The main house is equipped to a very high standard with plenty of sumptuous sofas to relax on, huge dining table, great sound system and an outdoor kitchen area with BBQ. The infinity pool looks across the 13th hole and has a jacuzzi at one end. Margaret the house keeper along with Cynthia kept the house immaculate ensuring we had plenty of clean towels for the pool. At Mullins beach towels are provided along with an efficient beach service and plenty of water sports. Our stay in this stunning house was topped by having a fantastic butler and chef who ensured we didn't need to lift a finger and could completely relax..
Two weeks of absolute luxury and relaxation! We opened the double fronted doors to heaven on earth. Situated on the 13th hole of the prestigious Royal Westmoreland golf course, everything you could think of is here in one house. Margaret, the housekeeper, does a wonderful job keeping this magnificent home up to scratch. The chef and butler just added to the overall experience of this holiday. We didn't lift a finger! The main house has been designed, and finished to, an unbelievable standard, it absolutely oozes luxury. The cottage (more like a 2 bed semi detached house!) next to the main house, is equipped with games and entertainment for all ages - table tennis table, air hockey, foozball table and of course an xbox! We look forward to spending more holidays in the future here - thank you for getting it so right!
From the moment we arrived, we enjoyed every aspect of this beautiful villa, grounds, beach and golf course. A fantastic place to have a large family gathering or escape with friends. The property is beautifully furnished, inviting and luxurious without feeling ostentatious. Plenty of space to spread out whilst the dining and communal living spaces, combined with the fantastic house-wide sound system, make spending time together fun and relaxing.
From the moment the front doors open you can tell this place is a bit special. A lot of thought has gone into the design. The front doors open onto a corridoor, down a few stairs into a lounge that opens out onto the covered patio, which leads to a few more stairs down to the pool area, which leads down to a small garden, which leads onto the golf course, which overlooks the sea. All before you've even stepped inside.
The villa is big - rooms are bigger than they need to be which gives it a feeling of grandeur & elegance that some of the other villas on the Estate are missing (some have a show-home feeling of 'just big enough' rooms - we looked round a few while we were there).
I stayed here with a mixed group of 10 friends and while there is plenty to do in the Royal Westmoreland Estate, it really was hard to leave the villa and go anywhere else it was so idyllic. I can't reccommend the place enough.

The Westerings is a truly amazing property. It is incredibly spacious, so even with a large group, we had plenty of room. The Westerings is ideal for a large family holiday or a group of friends. The house is beautifully furnished and it has been well maintained giving an air of luxury. I particularly enjoys sports and the Royal Westmoreland grounds offer golf, tennis and a gymnasium. The house overlooks the 13th hole on the excellent golf course - I spent several enjoyable days around the private pool watching the keen golfers pass by in the distance. The Westerings has a state of the art kitchen and a gas barbeque, so it's ideal if you want to stay at home and cook for the family. A very nice feature is the separate annex which has 2 bedrooms - Ideal for extra privacy of guests or if you have teenage children who want their own space. We had an amazing holiday at The Westerings and we will definitely be returning again soon.
We stayed for a week, 3 adults, 4 children. The villa was decorated beautifully throughout, all the bedrrooms had terraces overlooking the sea. There was a grand terrace out on the main level to an infinity pool, great for morning coffee and after dinner cocktails. There is a high end grilling and outdoor dining area (you can buy fresh fish straight from the market - an experience all on its own!). The kids were in heaven with all the facilities supplied in the guest cottage from pool table, table tennis to video games. Loved the island, plenty of great beaches, restaurants and things to do. Would definitely recommend this villa to couples, or families.
