“Beautiful Beach and some decent waves”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

Right down on the S.E. corner of the Island you will need a hire car (or taxi) to get there, but it is worth the drive. Beautiful pink soft sand and the warm Atlantic breakers makes it a fun and relaxing change from the Platinum coast beaches. Not much shade, but there are beds and parasols for hire, just don't let the vendors give you a tiny little sunshade, they have bigger ones in their store, so ask them for one.
No bar or restaurant, so take an ice-box with drinks, and if you're feeling a bit peckish, Cutters is just a short drive away, or they will deliver to you on the Beach.

You have to experience it. It's perfect. I would build my house in this bay and would be happy forever. Oh and don't forget to get one of the lush coconut drinks that the guys sell there - served in the actual coconut. Paradise.

“Nice scenic beach at the Crane Resort”
Reviewed September 27, 2013

A great semi-private beach next to the Crane Resort. During low-tide the beach is pretty wide and the water is very warm.

“Very picturesque, sea can be wavey”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

As other reviewers have said, you can reach the beach via the Crane Beach Hotel. Indeed, we did that on a previous holiday. This time we drove past the hotel, in a rental car, and searched for the public entrance to the beach (all beaches in Barbados are theoretically 'public' and must be reachable). We drove down a steep narrow road, past parked cars that narrowed the passage way, and then reached the end of the road with seemingly no alternative but to reverse back up the steep and narrow road. A local guy assisted me in making a multi-leg turn-around, so that I could get out in a forwards direction and park higher up the lane. (So do not be too ambitious with your parking if you attempt this entry). The Crane beach is then reached via some circular stepping stones built into the coral rock. It well justifies its place in one of the many different lists of '10 Best Beaches in the World'. Extremely beautiful location and wonderful sand. However, the sea can be a bit rough for inexperienced swimmers. We found it safest to enter the water without any sort of glasses or sunglasses, rather than risk losing a pair in an unexpectedly big wave.

“One of best beaches on the island”

What is not to love about this beach. White sand, crystal blue waters, hot sun, cool breeze, and for the adventure seekers a chance to try some Clift diving :)
