“An area of outstanding natural beauty!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013 via mobile

A world class beach on the south east coast of Barbados, facing the Altantic Ocean.White sands and dramatic waves are overlooked by an elegant resort built into the cliffside. Isolated wilderness and luxury combine well here...

“A bit disappointed!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013

Seeing as this beach is meant to be one of the 10 best beaches in the world, I can think of many on the Island that are far better. We went there via the public road as not staying at The Crane. Easy to get to, but be a bit careful when going across the rocky path.

The beach had quite a few people on it, but it also had a lot of seaweed, there was a definite high tide line of it! Not very pleasant. Also, as this is on the East Coast of the Island the waves are very big and swimming is not recommended unless you are a strong swimmer.

So all in all, I won't be going again, I will go to either Rockley, Worthing, Mullins or Paynes Bay. Much nicer beaches in my mind.

“Lovely pink sands but scary jelly fish”

Lovely pink sands but scary jelly fish. Many Portoguses Man O War jelly fish washed up on sands. These can give a very bad sting. Waves are high so not great for swimming.

“A different experience in Barbados”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

Having stayed on the St James coast it was a fantastic experience to visit the opposite coast line. The sea is so different with large typhoon lagoon type waves - well worth a day trip

“Simply incredible. Most beautiful beach we have seen.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013

And yes - we travel a lot... but I will say whether it is the secluded nature of the beach which makes it isolated and quiet, or it is the fact that the sand is pink and made of crushed coral from the tide turning... we simply love this place. The water could not be clearer. Calm beach and next to the Crane resort - that we loved by the way. A must see before you die place.
