Ok!
A 5* review about 2 cups of coffee!
Yes!
This gem of a cafe in the Pelican craft centre in Bridgetown was so good on our first visit 2 years ago that we made it our first 11am coffee stop when we returned to bridgetown on April 3rd!!
Vanilla flavoured, sweetened milk to accompany an exquisitely crafted coffee, served in tastefully crafted cups from individual coffee pots by a totally charming, cheerful and coffee enthusiast owner.
Her warm welcome, iced water and lovely chat set the tone once more for the terrific coffee.
The best things in life are well worth waiting for and our coffee was freshly brewed and prepared for us.
It was our pleasure to sit on the small veranda shaded from the sun with a welcome cooling light breeze, chatting about Barbados, holidays and our friendly host's passion for coffee(and cakes- although we resisted the temptation this time around! The tick for the food/meals is for cakes!!!)
It's situated in the craft centre next to the west coast bus station on the way to where the cruise liners dock. It's at the end away from the bus station and about 5 mins gentle walk from the cafe is the tourist information centre.
Ok, perhaps it's a long way to fly or cruise just for a coffee but if you're in Bridgetown you'd be mad not to make it your primary coffee stop!

We visited the Pelican Cafe & Variety shop based in The Pelican shopping village Bridgetown. The Village is just outside of the main shopping area in Bridgetown, a lot less busier and a great place to pick up quality gifts and souvenirs. A visit to this shop is a MUST if only for the delicious sandwiches freshly prepared by resident chef Lynette Murray. There were eight of us in our party and Lynette single handedly prepared sandwiches for all, cooking the freshest fillings to order. Do try the Talapia sandwich, fillets cooked to order and to perfection. This coupled with Lynette's apple salad is a perfect way to bridge the hunger gap and cheap at the price.
Thoroughly recommended!
