We stopped by here for refreshment while on a cruise. The chalkboard out front advertised $2 local beer and that was all the nudging we needed to climb the stairs. We sat on the balcony overlooking the busy marina on a bright, warm Feb. day. The balcony is worth it just for people watching, but it gives you another perspective of Bridgetown and a good photo op. There is free wi if here, which is a plus. We ordered a couple of local beers and decided to try the local favorite, fish cakes. They came deep fried with several sauces for dipping. The best way to describe them is kind of like fried salmon croquettes, but without the fishy salmon taste. I can't remember the kind of fish they used, but they were tasty and just right portions. Service here is laid back. I won't call it slow, because we were on vacation and not in any hurry to be anywhere or do anything. We enjoyed the atmosphere and had a little slice of Barbados, if just for a while.
