Owner description: Come join us for an award winning, relaxed fun day of sailing a 43 foot catamaran boat that cruises along the coast of Barbados! We sail with limited numbers to ensure a more personal and intimate experience. Our 5 hour tour includes pick up from your hotel/resort/ship, snorkeling with the turtles, ship wreck or reef and a leisurely lunch stop. We provide snorkeling gear, hors d' houerves while we sail, a full 'Bajan buffet lunch [this includes local fish, baked chicken, macaroni pie, pasta salad, potato salad, tossed salad and dinner rolls/garlic bread & delicious deserts] and an open bar to keep you hydrated and relaxed. We serve wine, rum punch, coffee, tea, juices and soft drinks throughout the day! We have cruises during the day and evening cruises. Warning: don't save this for your last day, you will want to do it again during your stay in Barbados! You can also book a private cruise! Our boat is available for private charter for those of you that want the boat for a birthday party, wedding party, or just an intimate getaway. For this we charge by the hour, with a minimum of 3 hour or for as long as you would like the experience to last. We usually take a maximum of 14 guests but we allow up to 20 people for these cruises. Calypso Girl is a 2003 43ft fontaine pajot sailing catamaran that is very comfortable and stable, perfect for just about every one. She has a custom ladder making it easy to get in and out of the water. A huge head (bath room) , indoor and out door seating so you can get just the right amount of sun, and a big front net for you to relax on.

Nick had a car meet our group of 8 from the cruise ship terminal and take us to his catamaran. Before we even left his slip, we saw a turtle. Our group was the only customers that Val (the captain) and Nick (our host) had on Wednesday, January 16th.
Once we left the slip (snacks and drinks in hand) we went out and snorkled with the turtles and then went to snorkel arouind two ship wrecks. We then sailed up the coast and went to an area where we could swim and we had lunch. The food was very tasty and everyone enjoyed it. After lunch we sailed more, relaxing on the catamaran. We had plenty of room and found it easy to move around and relax on the boat. We all had a great time and recommend Calypso Cruises.

We had the good fortune to experience-this luxury while in Barbados. From the minuted we were picked up form our holet we were treated like a celebs. We chosse the lunch trip. There was just 4 of us on the boat the day we went out-11th of Jan. We had loads of room and space - it was just so idylic and tranquil. We were waited on hand and foot. Food was constantly coming our way- from fresh fruit to yummy fish and salad! Drinks were free flowing...cold G&T's being delivered by a handsome young man followed by cheese and rackers...now that is my idea of heaven!! Nick and Val are such lovely people, attentive, interesting and hard working. They have achieved a wonderful customer focused business. This was definately the best day of our holidays.

We had a fabulous day with Nick and his crew. My group of thirteen had the entire catamaran to ourselves (I think the maximum is fourteen), and everyone, from ages 11 to 50, had a wonderful time. We were constantly offered food and drink, the crew very attentive and gracious. We stopped to snorkel at a sunken ship, as well as an area known for sea turtles. The shipwreck was relatively crowded, but Damien steered our group to another area away from most of the crowd. On the way to the next snorkeling spot, we were served a delicious lunch, and the captain told us some interesting things about the island, as well as the background of their business - great story should you be lucky enough to book a cruise. Swimming with the sea turtles was amazing. Damien was so excellent at attracting them, that soon there were several other boats stopping to view the turtles, too. My children still talk about the experience, four weeks after the cruise. You will not be disappointed with this business! The people were great, the scenery was gorgeous, and the catamaran was more than accommodating. It was the highlight of our vacation, I highly recommend it!

From the moment we stepped on board we felt welcome and valued. Nick, Val, and Damien did their utmost to give us a day to remember. The drinks and Nick's delicious food kept coming throughout the day. When it came to the swims over the wrecks and the turtles, I was reluctant to swim as i am a poor swimmer, Nick was having none of that, he insisted it was something not to be missed - he was right! kitted out with a buoyancy aid or two and Nick's help, I swam out and experienced it all, fantastic. Our trip was made extra special as two young passengers got engaged during the trip, and we were privileged to share their celebrations. The icing on the day's cake. This is not the cheapest cruise of this type, but compared with some of the cheaper cruises that carry large groups of people, ( Calypso only carry about 12 ) it is far and away the best value for money. Highly recommended.
