I had already read up on the Boatyard and my family and I were really looking forward to our visit.
Little did I know the impact it would have on our holiday with us revisiting 7 more times.
The staff and set up were first class and we felt like we were with family,
The food and drink was to die for especially their coconut shrimps.
The activities were safe and well managed with the beach cleaned throughout the day.
The Boatyard attracts vendors but everyone we met was known and trustworthy but you book these trips etc at your own risk as they are not associated with the Boatyard in any way.
We met one of our favourite Bajan call Sunny who walks the beach selling jewellery a sincere man who cares for his ill mother. Please buy something from him if you visit.
His favourite saying is "While your on vacation I'm out working"
I also recommend you try some of the many cocktails on offer at the Boatyard and sample the food in the daytime and the evening menu after 5pm where the portions massive.
Not sure when we return to Barbados but the Boatyard will always remain in our thoughts.
Thanks to everyone in making our stay fun!

We had a great day here at the Boatyard, totally relaxing and yummy food:) It's a short cab ride from the Cruise Terminal or a 20 minute walk thru town (easy for adults, little too busy with kids!), very easy to find and the 2 packages they offer are good! 15$ for a chair, umbrella and 1 free drink or 20$ for the same, plus the $ goes towards a food or drink credit…The beach is beautiful, do try to get there before noon…the chairs may fill up quickly on a busy day. There are locals offering tours, if you want to buy..but they are also very respectful and will leave you be with a simple "no thank you":) The rope swing looked fun and the water rafts were fun to lounge on for some sun! They have clean bathrooms and a shady place to eat and drink, as well as your $ spent included a ride back to the Cruise Terminal. I highly recommend it as an easy, lazy day in a beautiful place to truly enjoy the sun and sand.

Took about a 10 minute cab ride from the port to The Boatyard in Barbados. Cost to get in is $15.00 which includes a chair and 1 drink. The y have food, fun, and awesome fun. Great day at a beautiful party beach. White sand. blue seas and fun, fun fun. The food is awesome. They have the best coconut shrimp. We go back and spend the day every year. Also the 15.oo includes the cab ride back to the port.

We asked for our money back within 5 minutes of entering here. It's populated by cruise-shippers and way too loud, noisy and college spring break- like. I can't imagine a worse experience... if you are looking for loud music, lots of drinking, and general chaos this would be the place. Avoid if you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful experience - this is definitely not it!
