I could not find this beach on Trip Advisor until I just googled it. Its been a while but this beach sure left an impression. The water was Tri-colored and the sand felt like flour. Gorgeous beach, its amazing the Bridgetown itself is so run down and then you see such beauty within such a close vicinity. If you are cruising to Barbados then this beach is very close to the port and is worth the cab fare. You will have to pay for a lounge chair if you want one. I would get a chair and stay a while because I doubt you will see a beach like this often!

We arrived to Bridgetown not only on Xmas day so everything was closed in town, but also during a very rainy day. The Boatyard beach bar was a fun escape and perfect way to spend the day. We got to walk around the beach, and then while the weather was nice got a cheap glass boat tour out to the bay to snorkal down and see shipwrecks and sea turtles. The drinks were also good and cheap, plus you get a free one with the entrance fee (which we found very reasonable).

Fun atmosphere, and there were free shots available for those who didn't mind it being poured in your mouth (and possible your shirt!). Expect it to be crowded~

Tip: as others have said the wi-fi isn't very reliable, but it is free and you can get things done if you have patience.

We decided to visit the Boatyard after hearing good things about the place. On the whole the experience was good. Staff were friendly and atmosphere laid back and relaxing. The beach was lovely, and a great position to watch the people fall into the warm Caribbean waters from the rope swing on the pier. You did get a bit of hassle from the jet ski guys, but once told quite firmly, they left you alone. The sting in the tail was as a result of going to the bar and it wasn't to do with the money drinks costs...it was more of a blatant obvious rip- off. All the drinks were priced in Barbadian Dollars and shown on a massive sign saying to half the price if you are paying in US Dollars, as most people would. All drinks were charged at the price indicated but none of the staff reduced the price due to exchange rate. This place must be a rite little earner for somebody.
