my family and i went for a cruise in the royal caribean , jewel of the seas and we stop in brigestown in barbados on november 7th. we had a great and amazing time in this place. they have one of the most beautiful , cleanest and clear beaches in there. they have a great and friendly staff, white sands, good food and the best part is if you pay $15usd you'll get: a beach chair, big umbrella , use all the facilities, a free drink and a taxi back to the cruise. we also had a tour guy named falcon that he took us in a jetskie and told us about the history of barbados and all the good places to go. he took us to see the sea turtles, went to rihanna;s beach and saw the shipwrecks. this guy knows he roads and his seas. when you go there ask for falcon and you'll love the experience in the boatyard in barbados..

“Good value and great for kids”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2013

Don't let the entrance fee for this place put you off, as what you get for your money really does make it a good value day out. The beach is very clean with great facilities, especially the inflatables in the sea for the kids, and the rope swing. We had lunch, and the kids were at the bar every five minutes getting drinks and when we went to settle up we still had two dollars left to spend.

A great day out.

“Beauty and fun rolled into one!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

Travelled as a group with teenagers. We went on a Wednesday which is cruise ship day! If you like it quieter choose a different day - our friends went back on Thursday and it was MUCH quieter. Free soft drinks and lunch included in entry price so good value. Lots of comfy loungers and large beds to relax on and for the fun-seekers there s a rope swing over the sea and a giant trampoline and 'iceberg' to play on. This really is a beautiful stretch of beach but beware the people trying to sell banana boat rides and jet-skis etc. The boatyard rules forbid you from entering into business with them until your session has finished. A great day out!

“Get off the cruise ship, and go here...”

I just love Barbados! A little hidden treasure not far from the pier is the BOATYARD. Cool place. If you are a rum lover, must have a few Mt. Gay extra old. To the right of the Boatyard is a little place called Lobster Heaven or Lobster Haven. You can pick your own lobster and eat it in a box on the beach with an extra old and coke.

The beach is incredible, the water is beautiful and water activities galore.

I am been to many beach bars, but this ranks #1 in my book. I would just fly to Barbados to hang out here for a week.
