I have only been here during the daytime so I am unfamiliar with the fete experience. You pay at the door and the money is considered bar credit which may be redeemed in drinks and food. If you order more than your entry fee, then you will have an additional tab to honour before you leave. The ceiling has interesting items hanging and posted that may be fun to read. The Boatyard is on he beach and the beach umbrellas/chairs are available at no additional charge. There is a trampoline, floating mountain, rope swing, volleyball and other sporting activities to be enjoyed here.

The Boatyard was a great place for a few hours of relaxation. The sand was the softest I have every seen. The beach area is wide and beautiful. We got there in the morning and it was not crowded at all. $24 admission for 2 included two chairs, umbrella, drink, and a ride back to the ship. It was a fun, relaxing day.

We visited for the day on a cruise ship. We researched that it was only a half hour walk from the cruise ship. We like walking, so even though a taxi was only $3 or $4pp, we walked through Bridgetown to get to the Boatyard. Next time, I would take a taxi. The walk went through some sketchy areas at points.
But once we got there it was great! $12pp get a chair, umbrella, a free drink, internet access, and a ride back to the ship. I loved not having to worry about a ride back to the ship. The beach is wide and beautiful. There were plenty of chairs, and beach volleyball as well. Beers were reasonable - $3 each or 6 for $15. We walked the beach before we picked the Boatyard, and this was the biggest and nicest of the beach bars.
Locals walk the beach offering $20 tours to snorkel with the sea turtles and the shipwrecks. The shipwrecks were SO cool. If you like snorkeling, I highly recommend this!

Went here whilst visiting Barbados on a Cruise. Easily walkable from the port (about 25-30 mins). Beach is gorgeous, really comfy sunbeds (very thick cushions), great bar and good food. Also free wi fi. Got the free bus back to the ship. Entry was 12 dollars i think and it was well worth it. Staff really friendly and we felt really safe. Some local vendors selling stuff but did not hassle you at all.
Tip- get there early, got really busy by late morning.

We found out about this from a man who sat next to us on the plane, said if we were going to Barbados to not miss out on The Boatyard. Sure enough all the taxi drivers said the same thing. We were on a cruise and got into a Taxi, they pack them full and by full, it's FULL. It cost $5 per person to get there, the beach charges $12 to get in, but part of the cost includes the return trip as well as a free drink and beach chairs and umbrella. The sand is a beautiful white and super soft, it's very clean, the water was gorgeous. They have a trampoline and a king of the mountain floating island thing, and a rope swing off the pier, which was a lot of fun. It was hands down the best beach we went to on our 7 day cruise.
