“Bright, Pristine and well Presented ...”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

... I'm hoping the politicians' that frequent this beautiful building are just like the title of this review.

I stopped by the Parliament Buildings on the way to the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, to pick up some tickets for the T/20 cricket; and I was very impressed by the look and upkeep of the place.

It must be an honour and a privilege to sit here and be a parliamentarian here in Barbados.

Best building in Bridgetown
Only seen from the outside
This part of the city I'd nice to walk around
Safe and hot
I think Barbados in on the decline though to other Caribbean islands

“Beautiful Parliament”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

As the 3rd oldest parliament in the world you are getting a sight here. It is not well known but you can explore if you ask the security for a tour but I was told they are doing some renovations. 5/5.

“Historic democracy housed in stone”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Admiral Nelson's statue stands in the neo-classical shadow of these fine old buildings at the top of Broad Street while the waters of the Carenage lap nearby on the hulls of yachts.

“A museum αи∂ a world heritage site”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

It was nice to step off hot/busy Broad Street into the chilled, coral-limestone Hero's gallery. Enter into the West-Wing - clock tower side of the Parliament Building built 1872. For $10 I walked from year1629 through to the present day. On view, sculptures from artists: the sacrifices of revolutionaries to the personal belongings of Presidents made in the pursuits of justice and state laws;

On the opposite side, the neo-gothic East Wing completed late1873. this building houses the Senate and the House of Assembly. I was warned a dress etiquette applies to enter its Public Gallery. (open Mon, Wed-Sat 9am-4pm); so, I brought a long sleeved shirt. (to cover my arms!)

αи enjoyable ∂αу visual arts included with mature, friendly αи∂ attentive staff. I'll visit again.★
