The museum is divided into clear sections, it is self guided and easy to follow, you get a mad and follow it round. if you arrive relatively early in the day, go and see the garrison which is walking distance from the museum. the staff will advise you on timings.

This is well worth a visit and it is set in the lovely historic Garrison area a mile or so out of Bridgetown. If you have ancestors from Barbados then visit the Shilstone Library hidden up some stairs as you enter the museum. Small charge but helpful staff (closed now until February 2013)
