A friend recommended these guys and wasn't disappointed. The crew were fun but remained professional, as well as attentive to everyone's needs, without being intrusive.

Highly recommended.

Coworkers had recommended I go with one of the larger boats but I wanted less of a party atmosphere (we had enough of that at night!) and with Calabaza being the #1 rated attraction, it wasn't a difficult choice to make. Despite a scheduling mixup, Gina was very accommodating and we were able to join the boat on the afternoon cruise. The setting was very intimate as there were only eight of us total on the boat and everyone was so friendly and helpful, knowing just when to pass out the next round of appetizers and offer you a reup on your drinks. We got to see the turtles as well as a shipwreck, and had some great pictures taken.
If I ever came back to Barbados, I would definitely return again, maybe for the daytime cruise! A must for all ages!

We, like everyone else, had an amazing voyage. Our cab chauffeur was charming and very funny which started the day out perfect... and the weather superb. Hostess/Owner Gina was spot on with not missing a name everytime she introduced people, to every drink order taken, to every conversation held. "Amazing mon", (Fabian) who was renamed by my teenage son, was quite the host and comedian and the captain, soft spoken and very pleasant.

When we boarded, coffee and banana bread were waiting, and once we left the port, "the bar was open".

The first stop was only 5 minutes from port; a snorkel with the turtles. Fun, but a bit crazy as several vessels were also there. It was fun, they fed a couple snacks to turtles, and they hung around long enough for everyone to enjoy.

Next, to snorkel with some wrecks. Anytime in the water is a grand time, and it was cool to be right above the wreck, see the corals and all the fishes.

Next, the sails went up and away we went up the west coast. The rocking of the waves with the sun beating down on you, the staff at your beck and call, can I get you something? maybe some water, a rum punch... then.... the fish cakes came. Serioulsy, you are on the tramp out in front, and here comes Gina, fish cake anyone? Well yes..... so good.

About 45 minutes or so, time to take a stop and have.... lunch. Today's selections chicken, fish, salads, rice and peas, macaroni pie and garlic bread. Happy Thanksgiving! Bless me, what a feast. We stuffed our faces, cleaned our plates and overboard we went. 30 minutes or so of more water play time before we were asked to return to the vessel and sadly head back to the port.

Ok, fine.. One more rum punch, and no, not pumpkin pie? awesome... and a brownie to boot.

It was one great Thanksgiving... and we were grateful to have shared it with Gina and her crew, and the other 8 people on board.

My wife & I spent a fantastic five hours with Gina, Danny (the Captain) & Andrew on the Calabaza catamaran doing their ‘lunch cruise’

From the minute we stepped on board until the minute we stepped off we were treated very, very well by the crew with Bajan nibbles & choices of drinks (alcoholic & soft) served to all on board almost straight away

The sail took us from Bridgetown, up the west coast of the island to just above Holetown, passing a the homes of the rich & famous including Sir Cliff Richard (now a Barbadian citizen) & Dave Whelan (the owner of Wigan Athletic football club) for the first stop to swim with the turtles

To be able to swim with the turtles, an adult & a juvenile on the day, was a very special experience which will stay in our memories for a very long time to come & the 45 minutes that they were swimming with our group went by so quickly

The next stop was just slightly down the coast to swim/snorkel above a wreck & a reef to see the amazingly colourful fish that were also swimming around us put the finishing touches to this trip
Again this lasted roughly 30 to 45 minutes

Then it was off for a 30 minute Bajan lunch, where you could eat as much or as little as you wished plus alcoholic & soft drinks on tap (including Banks beer & Mount Gay rum) just opposite the famous ‘Lone Star’ restaurant – once lunch was finished time was allowed for those who wanted one last swim before the cruise headed back to Bridgetown

The best feature of this trip is that there is a maximum of only 12 guests on board which gives everybody enough space to relax in & be able to have a conversation as they music is loud enough for this to happen (unlike some of the other boats that were out that day – think ‘booze cruise’ with as many people as possible on board) plus they will send you a link to all of the photographs they take (both in & out of the water) – t shirts (red) that the crew wear are also for sale at US$20.00 each

As many people have stated before this is really a wonderful trip and the staff truly make it special – if you only ever go on one ‘swim with turtles’ trip whilst in Barbados we’d highly recommend this one

Having already enjoyed other snorkeling trips in the Caribbean I was thrilled with the difference with our trip with Calabaza. The small group atmosphere made the day very special. The food was amazing and our snorkeling leader was very knowledgeable. I would definitely make this my first choice when choosing a trip in Barbados.
