You can not moan at $12 for chair, 1st drink, Umbrella, lovely beach and great atmosphere. You also get a free ride back to the boat by Taxi. Nnice background music and felt safe.
There are washrooms but be aware, there were a large number of young adults using the Boatyard, from a Carnival Cruise ship, when we were there and a few were definitely worse for wear, this led to the washrooms being in quite a poor state with vomit and other issues in 2 of the loos and over the floors. We did let staff know but left soon after so I can not comment if they acted on this.
We would use the Boatyard again as the beach is great and rope swing is a scream.....as long as you remember to let go!!

For an enjoyable day at the beach with all the amenities including free Wi-Fi, it is hard to beat hanging out at The Boatyard Beach Restaurant and Bar.

A nice and friendly bar staff that knows how to mix drinks well that can be enjoyed while Bob Marley plays in the background is all of what makes hanging out here fun.

The Boatyard's “Pirates Punch” is one of the best rum punches I have ever tasted especially during “Happy Hour”. I am sure that has to do with having Mount Gay Rum in it and the right touch of bitters.

If you come here on your own there is a US$20 admission charge that is applied to you food and bar bill which I think is well worth it.

At The Boatyard you can play beach volleyball, participate in watersport activities like jet skiing or banana boat riding or just lounge around and enjoy a beautiful beach.

I did order the fish fingers and was not overly impressed although this turns out to be very minor compared to everything else.

I happen to be here on a night Mount Gay is having a party to introduce one of it's new rums. Unfortunately, I do not get an invite or even a sample. However, in some ways I still feel apart of the celebration.

Initially off putting because of the price (20US$ per person) but this includes their facilities, food, and drink (up to the entrance price then you pay whatever you spend over that separate). We spent a whole day on the beach and borrowed their snorkelling equipment. We also tried the beach volleyball (ask for the ball from the staff). The boatyard has some inflatables in the water which are great entertainment but they could provide smaller ones nearer the beach for kids. They also have a pier for diving off and a rope swing. We were there during the day with kids and we had a great simple lunch in their cool beach front bar. The staff were helpful and the toilets clean. You can even use the freshwater shower before you get changed out of your beach wear for moving on.
