I totally agree with Christopher Brian Barnes. This is our go to Restaurant on a monthly basis for dinner.

Dropped into this lovely little bistro and were delighted. It wasn't very busy on a Thursday night about half full and the welcome by the staff was very warm and we chose a table outside on the back deck area.

The interior is lovely, bright colours to the walls and ceilings which are timber boarded giving a a quirky new england feel but the owner says it reflected the 'chattel' houses found on the island.

We both chose the coated shrimps with a chili dip which were very good, big shrimp, good kick to the dip; a perfect start. Our mains were the flying fish served with chips and salad which my wife was very happy with whilst I went for the chicken strips in a red thai curry sauce served on a bed of fusilli pasta! My first thoughts were this was a strange kind of fusion cooking but my curiosity got the better of me and I'm glad. The combinations merged very well and the overall balance was excellent. A strange combo but it worked!

We declined desserts as we were happily full.

The staff have obviously been working their for a long time as they new exactly what they are doing and worked quietly and efficiently in the background. Glasses were topped up when required and they were always keeping an eye on things and making sure all was OK without being overbearing.

The overall cost including a cocktail and beer to start and a large glass of wine during the main course (yours truly was driving) came in around £80.00 which for this quality in Barbados is very good. So for a good bistro meal in lovely surroundings try this place.

We loved the pleasant, friendly atmosphere of this place. Monica was warm and helpful, the wait staff very professional but not formal, and the food excellent. I had the blackened fish (red snapper on the day), with salad and a glass of great rum punch. A simple, delicious and well executed meal. Prices are about standard for Bridgetown. Good international range of wines, but we stuck with the punch.
