Description: Great seafood simply prepared and served surfside. There's nothing better. The Ocean Club's new approach combines the freshest local catch with the relaxed atmosphere of this sea side setting. Take in the ocean. Soak up the sun. Let the breaking waves be your soundtrack. Bermuda's best ocean views are just as much a part of this experience as the seafood. Come from the beach, come for lunch, come for dinner, come for a cold, crisp glass of wine or a frosty beer. Try a tropical cocktail at the Terrace Bar, or a nibble from the small bites menu.

For the view of the ocean, this is the prettiest restaurant we ate at during our week in Bermuda.

For appetizers, DH loved his oysters rockefeller, and we went back to this restaurant a second time just for him to get them again! I enjoyed the hummus & tabouleh, but the baby spinach salad was just okay and the crab cake blt did not have much flavor. For main courses I had the scallops wrapped in bacon which was surprisingly bland and the grilled tuna which I requested blackened was also a bit bland although the lemon butter sauce was very nice. DH enjoyed his Grilled South Shore seafood platter; the roasted chicken dish was a little bland.

Gluten-Free Review: the Fairmont Southampton makes their own gluten free bread--it comes out as sliced bread (not dinner rolls), but it was quite good and the gf member of our party enjoyed it. Gluten free dishes are designated with a "G" on the main menu. Their cocktail sauce is not gluten-free, so he was given a Marie Rose sauce with his shrimp cocktail which was different and he liked it. The second time we went back he requested the mussels without the garlic bread and our waiter ensured that his came with gf bread toasted on top of it! Many of the fish dishes were gf as well as the NY Strip and the roasted chicken. The Old Bay Fries were not gluten-free, but the garlic mashed potatoes were gf and they were silky and delicious.

This was my favorite restaurant for location overlooking the private beach with a gorgeous view of the sunset; friendly staff always make the experience more enjoyable; it was so nice to be able to hop on a shuttle from our hotel and be at the restaurant in minutes--no expensive taxi ride! Unfortunately, the food was inconsistent. But more importantly, the ability to order gluten-free without the stress, to have the gluten free designation right on the menu and have gf bread delivered to the table--this is always a huge plus.

The place is beautiful and the view is like no other. However, the food was over priced and just average.

We were a family of four who've traveled to many islands and have experienced many wonderful restaurants. The new manager Wesley Tucker made us feel at home and our waitress Akshaya recommended the best seafood dishes to us. They have a wonderful menu.

We were seated outdoors where we had a fantastic view of the waves crashing on the rocks. We had a bruschetta appetizer that was truly outstanding, and we both enjoyed the fish and chips. When a very large (20+) party came in our service suffered, but when our original server realized my drink had arrived very late she insisted on bringing the manager to our table. Wesley comped our entire check, and sent over a free desert as well. We could not have asked for better treatment. Would definitely return.

Beautiful evening setting with an interesting menu. The widest selection of fresh fish in the area.....excellent both raw and cooked. The mixed vegetables are weak while the fries are delectable. The servers are attentive ,personable and aim to please. When busy the service is a little stressed and could be improved with the assistance and attention of the manager who seems to spend most of his time schmoozing the patrons rather than getting his hands dirty.
