People complain about the crowds so I avoided going here on the first day and went to Tobacco Bay at St. George instead and even though it was nice I kind of regret not going to Horseshoe Bay first and maybe a second day. Even with the crowds I get why it's ranked 5th in the worlds best beaches. Beautiful rocks, cliffs, sands stays cool, water is tuquiose, no need to swim far to snorkel and see colorful fishes they come close to you. Facilities and rentals are big and easy access to. This is defintely a must visit.

The cruise ships arrange buses for their people and they go direct from the dockyard to this beach. If you want seclusion or to not be annoyed by obnoxious cruisers, DO NOT come to this beach during the day! I was on a public bus heading to another beach which was completely full, standing room only, of obvious cruise crowds. The ENTIRE bus exited at Horseshoe except for my travel partner and I. We ended up going here one day at around 5 p.m. It was kind of crowded even then, but the majority of the crowd had left. I definitely would not recommend coming here before that time. The water was rough and had low visibility the day we were there, but you could tell there would be okay snorkeling. There are lots of little coves to see if you walk through some of the rock formations.

Don't sweat the potential for a few people on this most beautiful beach, just walk further down the beach and go around some rocks and you can have it all to yourself. Plus if some of your group wants a chair and shade then they can get a setup. We took a taxi from the Yard and it made it much nicer than trying to save a few bucks on the bus. Go and enjoy.

Like most places in Bermuda, there is a walk to get to the beach. The white sand beaches, green water, and volcanic rock formations are stunning. The beach was clean. Restroom and shower facilities are available, along with equipment rental and snacks. It was not at all crowded.

Very little waves. So peaceful but don't go when cruise ships are in. Save this for the weekend. Expensive to rent a beach chair here so don't plan on lying down too much. Beautiful little cove for snorkeling.
