Owner description: Swim in safety at Bermuda's most popular beach, best known for the lifeguard on duty from May to September.

Spent some time here both diving and swimming / sunbathing. Great fun and there is a small are at one end with extremely child friendly bathing for the kids in the rocks and pools. This is a public beach and high rental costs exist so take your own lilo.

The most popular beach and usually the most crowded, but there's a couple of nice, hidden coves nearby where you can have some privacy

Apparently we went after a big beach volleyball tournament. It was later in the afternoon and vendors were closed. Trash bins were overflowing with trash all around them and all over the beaches. It is inexcusable imo to leave a public beach or park in that deplorable condition. We left immediately as it was such a turn off. Then we had to climb the huge hill back to the bus stop. Not a good experience.

This was a perfect beach with some nice waves (not too big not too small)
Expensive concession stand.

And the funny part is, it's not really any better than the other beaches on the southern side of the island. You could spend a day or several beach hopping around the island and come up a winner every time. Truly amazing (and that's from someone who grew up in the Caribbean).
