Owner description: Three hotels line this beach, making it popular with tourists; you might want to avoid this place if you're not into the Spring Break college kid party scene, which tends to crowd the beach during the Easter season.

Unlike other south shore beaches like Horseshoe Bay Beach, Warwick, Jacob's Cove, or Church Bay, Elbow beach is just a straight sandy beach with a few resorts. There is free parking, nice sand, and some close reefs to snorkel in with average scenery, but you wouldn't have missed anything if you skip it.

For the last four years we have gone to Elbow Beach from our Celebrity Summit cruise ship. The van ride is $10.00 pp each way. Those wishing to sit on the beach can do so for free. There are no facilities available. We prefer to rent chairs and an umbrella and pay a day pass to the Elbow Beach 5* resort which allows us to use the facilities. The fee is $100.00 for two. This beach is one of the most beautiful we have ever been to.

This is a beautiful and relatively uncrowned beach. The waves are good, not big enough to ride but still fun. If you don't rent chairs and umbrellas you save a lot of money. I had to rent two chairs and an umbrella, even though I was alone, for $100.00. I was told they came as a package. You can get service if you pin a red ribbon to the umbrella. There is also a restaurant, rather expensive, that delivers food and drink to your chair. The water is the attraction and well worth the trip.

I spent 2 wonderful days hanging out at this beach. It was peaceful and not very crowded. Loved having lounge chair, umbrella, and towel. Nice gentle surf. I can't wait to return.
