We had read about Glass beach and went there out of curiosity. Its located at the 3rd bus stop from the Dockyards. Walk between the buildings and down to the beach. Kinda neat to look at but makes you wonder where all the glass came from, all colors. Its owned by WEDCO so you're not allowed to take any of the glass with you.

ok, its a cute collection of rounded glass that won't cut anybody. you see it all over the world, particularly where a lot of beer gets drunk near a body of water.

hmm, next well be looking at "beach plastic"

This tiny little beach is not your usual "beach". It is covered with sea glass, which is really just glass from a bottle factory that has been tumbled by the sea and the sand. It is beautiful! I read on here that it is a long walk, and was prepared for such, but if you take the bus, it is really not. It is hidden though. The bus stop is by a green church. If you cross the street, go between the apartment buildings, and turn right, if you look over the hill, you will see a shaky staircase leading down to the sea. That is where the "beach" is. It is so cool to see the items made out of the glass. Something you never see in the U.S.

Please if you visit do no illegally steal the sea glass as many selfish reviews have encouraged. This beach is shrinking and shrinking due to people taking some home. Ok maybe one piece of sea glass if you must but one person here said they took 25lbs! What a selfish and horrible thing to do, it's ruining the experience for everyone else and it's ILLEGAL

So glad we did this one! Go closer to low tide for the best selection, which, when we were on the island was in the afternoon. Once you go through path at the middle of the 4 blue apartment buildings, take a right & you'll see a stairway to the left. Very easy access & remarkable how much glass there is. Wonderful to listen to the tide bring in the glass with a soft "clink" sound, too.
