Took two young children here for a trip out and they were able to run around on the grass in well kept grounds. We had the area to ourselves with the exception of a few locals who were hanging around but were pleasant to us. Beautiful views over the bay and of Hamilton and the ground is home to tunnels and a few cannons placed around the grounds. The Fort was built by the British in 1666 and work stopped on it in 1686. Some lovely spots for photograghs. Entry is free but gate closes at 5
