Fish and Chips were nearly burnt and so greasy the grease sat on top of the fish - it glistened. Mussels described as "Chardonnay, Butter, Shallots, and Parsley" was clearly a Cream Sauce with Garlic - likely an Alfredo - and they (the waiter and the chef) argued that it was as described. When they brought the replacement mussels, they were still served with a cream base. Chardonnay and cream aren't really a good combination.
Afternoon tea was expensive. The Ritz tea in Tyson's Corner, Virginia and Washington DC do tea 1,000 times better than this British hotel.
