The galleries present fine art from a century past as well as contemporary pieces in most media. You may see something that you'll buy and take home. Cool inside.

We visited the City Hall & Arts Centre as part of the free guided walking tour given by the Town Crier every working day at 10.30 a.m. from April to Oct . The tour starts in the lobby of the City Hall with explanations about Bermuda , the City of Hamilton and the Town Hall . This is where we learned about the Arts centre and the no entrance fee . We were also fortunate to meet the Mayor of Hamilton and spend 15 minutes with him as part of the tour .
The walking Tour of the Old City lasted for 2 hours , covered most of the major sites and ended at the back of City Hall where it was possible to visit the Arts Centre or take the bus to Saint Georges .

The Arts Centre is great if you are looking for a cultural experience. The admission was free and the works of art are inspiring. The Bermuda National Gallery is in the same building, but was not open when I was there. I hope to go back and see what they have to offer.

Stunning art was on display during my visit - I could not believe that this was free and open to the public. The architecture of the building itself is rather interesting too. Along with art admirers, the building bustles with the day to day activities of City Hall. Located in the heart of Hamilton, literally right next to the bus terminal. It's a few blocks walk from the ferry dock.

In the town center, with the "National Gallery." Genuine, modest, and when we were there very innovative. Underfunded.
