Had a good visit with our small children. Nice exhibits. Easy side trip from Hamilton. Kids loved the shark cage.

Good stop from shopping and the more touristy things. Beware: If you're even the slightest bit claustrophobic DO NOT go on the simulator. I learned the hard way. The employees were great.

The BUEI was a great place to take the kids for a cool thing to do before lunch. There were a lot of interactive and/or hands on activities for the kids to do. There were tons of artifacts from the wrecks, reefs and sea life.

The Shell Collection was Out of This World!!

For the adults, there was a rich history of Bermuda, the wrecks and the reef life. It was VERY informative and educational. I could see spending hours here, just walking around reading everything, but we had 3 kids with us!

If you visit with kids, (and we had 14, 10 and 8 year olds), you are good for about 1-2 hours before they lose their interest, simply because they are kids.

The staff that we interacted with, both in the gift shop and throughout the museum were very friendly and polite. They answered many questions that we had.

I would definitely go back again.

Not horrible but I found the displays dated and many of the lights were not working so I could not read the descriptions.

This is a small museum with lots of shells and artifacts. It has a small ride attraction(room-sized elevator) that moves you from the entry floor to the downstairs. The artifact interpretation is pretty good. Gives you a general understanding of the geologic/geographic formation of Bermuda. If you are into shells this place is for you, nice collection. The shipwreck history and display of artifacts is not large but reasonably well interpreted. You come away with a general understanding of why there were so many shipwrecks and what they have learned and recovered form them.

Good for 6-12 year old kids and curious adults. The restaurant seems to be popular due to its view.
