They have a shell room that is incredible. Lots of fun things for young kids to encourage their learning about the oceans. Lots of info with fascinating exhibits for adults.

Thank Mark B

I had time to spare before my flight so I decided to check it out. It was really interesting. I wish I had more time. They have a simulated dive to the ocean floor and a fake shark cage experience. Also the biggest shell collection I have ever seen. It's worth checking out on a rainy day.

You come all the way to Bermuda and it rains all week.. Go to this exhibit; as everything is indoors. Even if it isn't raining its still a great spot. You will leave with many useful facts about the ocean and Bermuda's history!

actually, to two men's lives, as BUEI seems mostly dedicated to the exploits of Teddy Tucker, a Bermuda 'institution' and largest contributor to the 'finds' herein. There are enough gadgets and displays to entertain a younger audience whilst the exhibits are clearly marked and spaced so that an adult who likes 'sea stuff' can find enough for an hour or two 'foray'. There is a fabulous shell collection (testimony to a second man's passion) that is 'worth the price of admission'. We bought a family pass and so I've been in a mite too many times with visitors, but would still recommend BUEI as something to do if you've 3 or more days in Bermuda. I'm glad it's here. Make certain to allow enough time to go on the 'guided' undersea exploration offered at least once an hour. It may be a bit 'hokey', but the guests we've taken have found it a pleasant addition to what might otherwise be 'just' a museum...
