So firstly the hotel is amazing, the renos are all done and the mainly very expensive resort stores are open.

We are staying in the hibiscus wing, the room 105 is lovely and we have a ground floor room with a garden view terrace which is great.

We were excited to experience the beach club, which we did yesterday September 3rd. The ride takes almost 30 mins depending on traffic, the first bus/jitney was full so the hotel kindly paid for a mini bus taxi down to the beach for us and 4 others.

The beach is nice but not great, the beach on the other side is way nicer, shame they can't use that also, there are lots of free non motorized water craft to use such as stand up paddle boards and kayaks. Also some snorkel gear, which is useless as the water in this area is very cloudy so you can't see anything.

Now the service on the beach is severely lacking, we had to keep going up to look for staff to order drinks and food. And each time they said we had to go sit back down to get served. We would have if they came to serve us, we finally ordered drinks and they took almost an hour to arrive, so next time I went up again, but was told to sit again. They really could do with more staff and also maybe a bar so guests can order there too.

The rest of the amenities are great, nice play area pirate ship for kids, nice clean washrooms and outdoor showers to rinse off.

Today we decided to stay by the pool, the infinity pool area is gorgeous. The service not so much, we ordered two burgers from 1609 poolside, which took almost 1 hr 30 mins to arrive and the extra 30 mins was when we alerted the waiter that we hadn't received anything. When we did finally get the burgers, they were barely warm, when the waiter came to get us to sign he asked how they were, I said not great, and he said well couldn't have been that bad as you are them. Well I actually left half of mine, my partner was so hungry he ate all his lol.

Tonight we are going to eat at Marcus, we ate there last time and it was great so fingers crossed lol

So all in all the hotel is lovely, they just need to get more staff for the pool and beach I think.

I love this hotel, the staff are all so friendly, views are absolutely amazing and there is a lot to do here. The only let down is that the restaurants all serve the same food and there is no variation.

Room tip: For the best views try to go on the top floor towards the end of the hotel.

This is a beautiful hotel that has been recently been renovated. The room we had was on the 4th floor (Fairmont Gold) and was lovely and very comfortable, but it's the service that takes this hotel over the top. Thank you so much Peter, Pia and Mikaela... amazing service. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and we couldn't ask for anything more. In fact, Peter taught my husband how to make a signature "Dark and Stormy" drink which is something everyone should try if the like Rum and are in Bermuda.

This hotel is centrally located and has a lovely adults only pool as well as an infinity pool which is just perfect for families.

The shuttle that takes you to the beach is very convenient. The beach itself is about 20 minutes away and is in a very sheltered bay which makes it quite great for kids and non-swimmers. Because it is quite calm, the water is a bit more cloudy than the open ocean.

Hamilton Princess is a beautiful property. Wonderful views and very nice, updated rooms! Ours was a deluxe harbor view room- no balcony - but at the end of the hall with a great view!

Room had a king bed and fold out sofa and huge walk in closet! We opted to used the Club lounge for $160 extra per night and it was great!! Huge terrace to have drinks and enjoy the views. Nice breakfast and daily tea was fantastic! Thank you to Michael and Peter and the rest of the concierge level staff for a wonderful stay!

There is a great spa where I had a wonderful massage. There is an adults pool and a family pool- the family pool is on the other side of the resort-so if staying with kids I would recommend not staying in the main building - but it's not far. Some of those rooms walked out to the pool deck which I would imagine is convenient but those hallways felt subterranean. It's a bigger property than it looks!

As for kids- I would say the hotel does a nice job but I think they cater more to the adult or business traveler.

To get to the beach you take a 20 minute ride on a jitney- one was not air conditioned which I did not care for. The beach itself it very pretty and there are hardly any waves as it is surrounded by rocks- it's like an inlet. Very shallow so you could walk almost all the way out.
So a safe kid beach for swimming and playing.

However the water was not clear when we were there. Not sure if it was a one time thing or if it is always like this. The sand is not super pink either.

The beach staff are great and the food at the beach restaurant was amazing!!!

An area for improvement would be the main concierge. We were told they had booked a reservation at a near-by restaurant and the restaurant did not have our reservation when we arrived. Thank goodness they could accommodate us. Also this concierge was very difficult to reach for other reservations etc.

All in all a nice weekend away to celebrate our anniversary! Oh- and the hotel art collection is fantastic!!

We booked this place firstly for logistic reasons, it is close to the city centre, and due to the fact that tripadvisor listed it as 4 stars. This place is a kind hybrid configuration between a 2/3 stars and a 4 stars. The common area, lobby, pool etc. Have been just renewed so it is pretty nice and 4 stars reflect the reality. About our room (072) it was an outdated room of 60s years with old carpet and forniture. The bathroom was renewed so it was fine. We booked the room with the pathio so the view was good but the window was quite old and difficult to open and the closure was broken. The frigobar was composed by a couple of complimentary bottle of water and that's all. The room service is quite bad. The housekeeper every day fogot something, One day to refill the shampoo and shower another day the towel One more the bathrobe. We called for 1 hours before to have them in our room. Finally the cherry on the cake was the air condition that does not work properly (78 to 80 f max). We called the front desk but nobody came !
We complain with the front desk but the solution was a smallest and downgraded room that obsiously I refused. Nothing about compensation or else.
The really nice area is the infinity pool that was just renewed with a gorgeous view but also here there were not enough staff so if you want to order a cocktail you have to get out from the pool or hope that somebody pass through.
Conclusions... It is an hybrid hotel from 2 stars to 4 with 4 1/2 stars cost. I suggest to spend your money elsewhere.
