Lots of color to the buildings in Bermuda. No exception to the stores along Front street where shopping is a treat for those travelers looking for the English flair. Bermuda a British Colony has deep British roots and traditions. When shopping you will find much of this flavor. A treat for those who love to shop. But be prepared to spend some money. Nothing is cheap in Bermuda.

It wasn't until we had a new visitor who hadn't seen Bermuda before that I realised how quaint this street actually is. He described it as something out of Disney but real. The range of shops has improved and now the prices charged seem more reasonable although one or two shops don't encourage me to enter as they just have that cost-a-lot look. Take a moment to sit on the bench opposite the shops and watch the people. The shops are set back from the road, a standard nine foot only broken in one place I think, so you can walk along sheltered from the sun (or rain on the odd occasion). There are a couple of alleys that link with the street behind - and have their own little retail units along the alley.
Allow about two hours to walk along and fully enjoy Front Street. The ferry docks at one end and taxis can be found all along the road.
Note the dress code frowns upon beach-style clothes when in the town. And there aren't that many benches along the street, but that may change when they develop the next plans for Front Street.

Very nice way to spend the day just strolling the street and window shopping or relaxing. Beautiful places to visit or just sit on a bench and relax.

We visited Front Street while in Bermuda on a cruise. It is nothing too special, but we did find it interesting to walk around and see what was there. A good way to spend a bit of time if you're waiting for a ferry.

It is nice that there's a public washroom available!

Stall along the street, some shops open late and entertainment ... Not to be missed.
There is a Marks and Spencer's on Front street ... Above luSso and excellent restaurants.
