“Bad service, Bad Food, pricey!”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

After reading reviews we gave it a try.
Out of 21 people I was eating with that night...two walked away happy. That means 19 got bad food and terrible terrible service. Waitress had a terrible attitude and had to be asked multiple times for items. Management was asked to help and offered no assistance.
Food was cold when arrived and servings were small and very pricey.
I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone!

“Fab Fish Dishes!”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

Had a bucket of fish again - just divine - messy but delicious! You definitely need the bib they give you! Service great, food fab, so definitely book.

Drinks are expensive and the fruit punch (non alcoholic) not the best as very very sickly sweet compared to other places we have had it,

Overall tho' if you like fish you will adore this place.

“Utah, thanks for the rec!”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

We met a couple from Utah that suggested the Lobster Pot. Understandably, there are certain "cruise" or weekend nights that can be very busy there, but we thought that we'd give it a go during the week instead. It was not as loud and bustling but still fun for us. In truth, we were in the mood for seafood and the Utah people were right.

Atmosphere
It's a bit seafaring in appearance like you would expect.

Service
Our service was excellent, detail-oriented without being obtrusive.

Food
Bermuda Fish Chowder - the zippiest we had on the island, liked it, only added a bit of Gosling's rum, no need for sherry peppers for this recipe. Lobster, shrimp and crab cakes had two that were tasty, moist with an appropriate sauce. Entrée was the rockfish with almonds and bananas...very good and the side of fresh vegetables were cooked the way I like them. The mussel appetizer is much better than some of the "4-star" places on the island. They were tastier and had more...like the parmesan bread cover. Needed to don the lobster bib for the seafood feast: 1/2# lobster, stone crab claw, shrimp and mussels.

Wine
They have about 12 red and 12 white bottles with several by the glass.

“Good but not GREAT”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

This place was recommended by our concierge at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
It was a short 10 minute walk from the Hotel. This place wasn't really "special" but we had a good meal. I liked the fact that you could select from several different fresh fish and then select from a variety of ways to have it prepared. Service was outstanding. As with the other restaurants in Hamilton, it was pricey but we received good quality, well prepared food and healthy portions.
Although it was a good experience, we would probably not go back.
