“Good for local fish”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2011

This is a fish place. Go for local fish - wahoo, rockfish, tuna. I make no guarantee about imported fish or anything else. But if you have fresh local fish (especially the fish special of the day) it will be very good. I haven't tried the new Carriage House restaurant, but this is in my opinion the best restaurant in St. George and one of the first places I bring guests to the island.
It's about the same price as other fish places in Bermuda.

“Great food, average prices, nice waterfront view from the dockside patio, too!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2011

We ate here twice (once for lunch and then we went back for dinner) during our recent stay. We wanted a place that wasn't too stuffy and that felt authentic. The Bermuda Lobster (which is generally in season only during months that contain the letter "R" (except, I think, April) was amazing. The fish chowder and the conch fritters were really exceptionally yummy. Nice staff, chef and owner, too!

“Nice Place, Decent Value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2011

The waterside view and friendly, laid-back atmosphere are the best qualities of Wahoo's. The grilled wahoo was quite good, and the food quality overall was good, as was the drink selection. A little on the pricey side (even for Bermuda) but we felt like it was a decent value and we enjoyed the place as part of a simply lovely weekend in Bermuda.

“Not impressive at all”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2011

Stopped by this restaurant while in St Georges because it seemed like it was pretty and had a great view.
While the view is great, the food was horrible.
Both myself and my friend ordered the fish and chips.
Both of our meals arrived and all seemed well.
After cutting into the "fish" we noticed it was store bought frozen fish, that was still frozen.
We mentioned this to our server and she apologized and said she would get the two pieces of fish replaced.
After waiting more then 30 minutes for our replacement fish nothing had arrived. We asked the server again, and went to get the fish.
She brought back one piece instead of the two we sent back.
At this point we were both annoyed and just wanted to leave.
After asking for the check, the total came upto $60
This was for only two fish and chips meals and two beers.
It was kinda expected because we were in Bermuda and it is an expensive place to visit.
We paid our check and waited for our change. When she returned, the change was missing $10.
We spoke to the manager who instantly gave us the $10 without question?
This made it seem really shady and they must do this all the time to guests.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.
We figured that if a meal cost $30 each, we should just eat at the hotel where we were sure that the meal would be great.

“nice harborside restaurant, very good seafood.”

I had fish taco's, my wife had the wahoo, both very good. Excellent desserts with a European slant-I'd go back for the apple strudel again.
