Saw the ducking of the town gossip/scold here at noontime. David the town crier is great. We enjoyed our tour of the building.

“Freee walking tour worth the trip by itself”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

St. George's is a must stop in general. Walking the immaculate streets of some of the oldest settled real estate in the "new world" is amazing.

But this review is for the walking tour that is run at about 10:30 on most days, starting with the Town Crier at Town Hall, who ism himself, a fun and informative entertainer... But the tour is run by a local (Captain something or other) who is not only a studied history buff, but an engaging and entertaining tour guide.

The tour is free, and runs about an hour, and covers the entire history of the island, and physically hits about 6 stops, ending up at the historic church. But there isn't a TON of walking, maybe a total of a quarter mile or so covered, so it's OK for most folks.

We would have gladly paid for it... but it's free. (I recommend tipping the guide, he earned it).
